Runnin’, Runnin’ & Runnin’, Runnin’ &…

Arriving at The Smokehouse at the prescribed time for a pre-beatdown trail run, I located Dr. Doolittle’s car, but not its owner. As I stepped out of my car, Doc trotted up having completed a few laps around the local area in a pre-pre-beatdown-trail-run trail run. We set out into the woods and polished off 3.5 miles together before returning to the invisible (left at home) shovel flag for the beatdown. Dr. Doolittle had to go to work, so he bid adieu and drove off. Here’s how the beatdown went down.

- Missed everybody today, but enjoyed the two runs, one with company and conversation, and the other with music and my own thoughts.
- Eight total running miles is my most yet. I will need to get over nine, with hills, to be ready for my longest leg at the Blue Ridge Relay.
- Feel like running tomorrow (Sunday)? Off-the-books Trail Run at Sherman Branch, 0700-0800, 12435 Rocky River Church Rd. Choose your distance.
- Summertime means lots of us will be missing Boondocks beatdowns due to vacations, but don’t forget to look for a local F3 group to work out with while you’re out of town; your body will thank you. Invite them to visit us when they are in town.
Peace,
