The Broken Ladder
All All MECA BackblastsMarch 7th, 2016
14 of Tradition’s most foul smelling pax showed up for a broken ladder beatdown at the hands of YHC. Almost half the pax showed up late and then someone stole my weinke during our warmup mosey. When we returned to COP, we were greeted by a very wet fart from Dutch. Nasty bro, hope it didn’t leave a skid mark! The mumble chatter was plentiful throughout, mainly from the usual suspects Dingo and Farm. Must be their 4′ 3″ connection. Drill Sergeant Buckwheat took over at this point and inflicted a little pain on the pax as follows:
Warm up
Mosey around parking lot.
SSH X15 IC
Wind Mill X15 IC
Cotton Pickers X15 IC
Shoulder stretch
Arm circles
Copperhead Quat X10IC
The Thang: 5 sets of 9 exercises (Reps Per Set- 1:20/ 2:10/ 3:5/ 4:8/ 5:15)
Kettle Bell Swings – 20/10/5/8/15
Standing Shoulder Press – 20/10/5/8/15
Sumo High Pull – 20/10/5/8/20
Curls – 20/10/5/8/15
One Arm Row (each arm) – 20/10/5/8/15
Goblet Squats – 20/10/5/8/15
Skull Crushers – 20/10/5/8/15
Chest Press – 20/10/5/8/15
Pullovers – 20/10/5/8/15
LBC’s X10IC, KB Merkins x 5 each side, and SSH x 10IC after first two sets then mosey around parking lot. Farm caught on to the pattern at the end of set three, so we skipped SSH’s and the mosey just to make his OCD flare up. After set four, we did KB Merkins X5 and then a mosey. No SSH’s. After set five, we did LBC’s X10IC, KB Merkins X5 and went straight into MARY:
The W X10IC
Low Dolly X10IC
Low Flutter x10IC
Stinky Moleskin:
1) It’s an honor to lead this motley crew. Thanks for the opportunity.
2) Farm- We don’t want to hear any more excuses about why you’re late, especially when it involves jalepeno cheese. Heck, Skyline even made it on time today!
3) Dutch- Change those drawers before you go to burn bootcamp this morning.
4) Coyote was so worked up about 26% that he took his kettle bell and went home early. Thanks for the extended honk when you left, bro!
5) Tradition Work Day is 8AM-12PM this Saturday, March 12. Come volunteer your time to give back to the church that allows us to use their grounds six days/week.
6) Mud Run – April 30th. Sign up now! March 18th is the deadline for the discounted rate. Anyone can do this. See the MECA daily communication for sign up link.
7) It’s good to see you back in action, Maximus.
8) Looks like some spring weather is on tap for the rest of the week. Let’s all make an effort to get out of the fartsack and post regularly this week!
9) Thanks for visiting Tradition, Mr. McFeely. Hope you enjoyed it.

Hey there were at least three other men who got there after me. I am owning up to being late, but it was because of the cheese. If you don’t believe me, go to SAMs and get some. It’ll hurt you brother!
Good to post to a SWAT beatdown…it has been a while.
Glad to see @McFeely posted. Figured we’d scared him off after yesterday!
Good workout! My first kettlebell workout ever, though I had it for a few months thinking about it. Will probably be back for it again. Wondering how crappy I am going to feel tomorrow when I start feeling it. Might post for your Wednesday run, but will definitely be the six going along.
@TheFarm, Nope, just wondering if you were who I thought… and what the heck you guys were doing (thought that was where Buckwheat said he lived). Sorry for not stopping to say ‘hi’… hopefully the walk by ‘hi’ sufficed :-).
I am the last of the late comers today… woke at 5 with half my brain wanting to turn back over and the other to get up… glad I listened to the right one and got up.
Great workout @buckwheat. Good concentration and humor through mumble chatter. Good pattern changes to mess-up Mr. 26%. @farm if you want to see a consistent pattern look at your arrival times. Some things never change. Only the excuses (gloves, now cheese).
Thanks for welcome back. My body needed some rest lately (you’ll see when you get to my age) but feels really good after this beatdown.
Good beatdown Buckwheat. I was one of the late arrivals as well, but pretty confident that it will not become a habit(cough, cough @Farm!!) Good way to start the week!!!
Good work, McFeely. Winning the fartsack battle is he toughest part. There are bootcamps tomorrow at Tradition and Highlands, getting your sore body up and moving tomorrow will help lesson the pain!
Maximus, you’re right that some things never change with The Farm, except his excuses for being late…
Farm- I noted the other tardiness too!
