Cold, Hurtful Words at The Valley Cruise

11…that’s right ELEVEN men exited the fartsack this morning for a little downpainment…but not all at the same time! As YHC arrived at 5:26am, I expected a congratulatory round of applause from the pax as my name has been repeatedly showing up in other BBs for being right on time. However, @Buckwheat was mumbling something about words hurting. Not sure what he was talking about… Anyway, we did a simple down and back route from the hill of shadows, make a right, run down to Fairlea and back.

Good job to all this morning! Who would’ve thought a year ago that 11 men would be cruising in sub freezing temps?! A few things worth mentioning:
1) Apparently, @Bazinga and @Skipper assumed that because YHC was the Q, things wouldn’t start at 5:30am and arrived a few minutes late. They also thought it would be funny to jump out and surprise a few of the pax. Little did they know that one of those pax is @Buckwheat who spotted them beforehand. In his words, “They almost caught a real life beatdown.” I’m not sure what the BB would’ve looked like had that happened.
2) When I went back to get @Ribshack, he said something hilarious without even meaning to. He said, “Go on ahead brother, I know you’re a 6 minute man!” Sorry brother but that’s not true no matter how you spin it 😉
3) Many of the pax keep talking about an imaginary owl they keep hearing. Apparently I’m the only one who has never heard it. Makes me think the pax need to switch out their supplements. #hallucinatemuch?
4) @Jumanji is fast. Couldn’t see him after half a mile into the run.
5) Great second F with @Pharaoh and @Rib Shack.

Where do I begin????
First, words hurt @The Farm, words hurt. Fat guys are sensitive when you talk about their weight like you did to me via text last night:
@The Farm: “No promises that there will be curls tomorrow Buckwheat.”
@Buckwheat: “May need to skip the cruise then…”
@The Farm: “Actually sure… go ahead and skip the cruise and get your wallet ready for Monday. You’ll be buying me or Dingo beer after our Wed and Sat cruises help us drop more % of weight!”
Side Note: @The Farm, @Dingo, @Forgotten Jelly & I have a side wager for the HEC. Person who loses the most weight this past Monday to next Monday gets free beer at our next Advisory Board meeting.
Words hurt @The Farm, words hurt! The best part is, I was joking about skipping the cruise today and after weigh in’s this morning guess who’s in the lead? The Fat Guy @Buckwheat. The perks of having extra weight to shed quickly! Don’t worry, I’m cruising on Saturday and may even do my own cruise Monday morning before final weigh ins…
Regarding @Bazinga & @Skipper…. First, they were in the right assuming we wouldn’t be starting on time knowing that @The Farm was the Q. Today was an anomaly that you showed up two minutes early. Where they went wrong was they didn’t know @Buckwheat would be cruising and holding @Gentile Grizzly and @Dingo back when they decided to hide in the woods and try to scare us. Thank goodness for headlamps as I was able to spot them about 25 yards out. Still didn’t know who they were until we got up on them, but I was prepared to handle some business. ANYTHING to stop running!
@Rib Shack: Don’t give @The Farm too much credit. He’s not a six minute man, rather a six SECOND man!
@The Farm: The owl does exist. I heard it today for the first time and had not heard the back story on that.
@Dingo & @Gentile Grizzly: Thanks for sticking back with me and sorry for holding you guys back. My running ability will get better as I plan to keep up the cruises twice/week for the foreseeable future!
@Pharoah: Thanks for the push up that final hill!
@Jumangi: Because your so fast, you should be penalized and have to run at the back of the pack with me next week just to experience what it’s like for a fat guy who has to run/walk long distances. Give the rest of the pax a chance to win for once ;-).
