7 men and one 2.0 decided to post to the toughest workout at AG.   Trying to herd 40 middle school boys into team building is challenging but that’s what we do.   This week my 2.0 led the kids (and Bunny) in a game of capture the flag followed by knockout.

Capture the flag – Divide the boys into two groups and encourage them to develop a strategy.   Chelms team brought it and won the first game even though Tryon’s team thought they had stacked the deck with Bunny and my 2.0.   However, the stacked team did win round 2 so we had to call it a draw.

Knock out – Game went on forever since we only had two goals for 40 boys plus a few pax. Bunny blamed back to back air balls on poor lighting and lack of a net.  He was still in the game when time was called.

Our efforts here are really important and we continue to try to find better ways to help these boys.  They are good kids at heart and just need some guidance.  We have started keeping score (hard during the controlled chaos) based on leadership, participation, and winning in an effort to get the boys focused.  Boys accumulate points and can win prizes based on results    Another step in our #10,000 fails journey but we are getting better.
