1. Great crowd this morning; lots of chatter, along with the music courtesy of Hacksaw….although the transition from Metallica to Doobie Brothers was a little unexpected.
2. This was definitely a you-vs-you workout, all on the honor system. Unless the guy next to you is counting your reps. And making sure you did each exercise in order. And making sure your shoes are tied correctly. (Ok, I made that last one up) All in good fun though, and that accountability is what helps us all…and cures someone’s OCD. #showtoknow
3. I know Constitution, Othello and Red Tape finished all the rounds (660 reps) and started back up the ladder. I got to the round of 6, so guessing everyone else was at least nearly finished.
4. Glad Hootie got a chance to see us and drop some sweat stains in our general area.
5. An anonymous pax (rhymes with Med Cape) would like to know if a 24″ pumpkin pie is legal in the Healthy Eating Challenge. I mean, it’s a vegetable, right? The HEC starts Monday – see Slack for details and to sign up.
6. Prayers for Thunderbolt heading out to sea on Sunday, a swift recovery for Lugnut and his family and any other unspoken prayers.
7. Concord is celebrating their 10-year anniversary tomorrow with a convergence and breakfast to follow. See Slack for details and to sign up.
8. Firebrand’s church (Providence Baptist) is hosting an event on 10/21, walking from church to the park, and carrying buckets of water back to raise money to build a well in Africa and to raise awareness of a need for something we easily take for granted.
9. Good luck to the BRR runners – Exit 54, Bonvoy, Dud, 10 Cent, Loveboat and Java.
10. Mullet will be leading The Rail Yard tomorrow.
Cheers!
