On Day 4 of YHC’s Iron Q, 13 Mighty Men joined me at the Ridge to see what YHC could come up with.  The flag was planted on this Veteran’s Day and the clock hit 0530 so off we went.  It went something like this……..

THE THANG

Using the 3 courtyards on the back side of the school we would do 22 reps of the following exercises.  Do the 1st group of exercises at each courtyard and then start at the 1st courtyard and complete the 2nd group of exercises.  Continue this rotation until 0605

 

1st courtyard

1st: Hand Release Merkins, Reverse Lunges, Freddie Mercurys

2nd: CDD’s, Jump Squats, Crunchy Frogs

2nd courtyard

1st: Shoulder Taps, Step-ups, Leg Lifts

2nd: Bench Taps, Split Squats, WWI’s

3rd courtyard

1st: Peter Parkers, Sumo Squats, American Hammers

2nd: Hip Taps, Side Squats, Low Dollys

ANNOUNCEMENTS

–Happy Hour next Wednesday at Suffolk Punch at 6PM.

–Mt Afton Challenge January 8th.  Keep an eye out for more details.

–Run, Beer, Ear is a MECA Mental Health initiative that kicks off at Pharr Mill on December 6th.  Come run a 5k and stay around for a discussion centered around a mental health topic.

–Peppa is president of the Young Alumni Chapter at University of Charlotte and they are having a Veteran’s Day Drive Social at Cabarrus Brewing Saturday from 1-5PM.  Check Slack for details.

 

PRAYERS

–For the Mooresville community after a student took their life at school.

–For all veterans on this Veteran’s Day

 

MOLESKIN

–The 22 reps were done for the average number of veterans that commit suicide each day.

–Finally the non-Respects outnumbered the Respects.  The power has shifted back.

–Good to have Ripken out  on a school holiday.  Very impressive for a young man and is a motivator for YHC.

–Great to have a GRT visit from across 85 and hang around for coffeeteria.

–Missed seeing the Marathoners out but totally understand the tapering.

–Gamma and JD are 4 for 4 for YHC’s Iron Q coffee challenge.  Who will make it to the end???

–Seen/heard at coffeeteria included Exit’s titanium mining career, JD HCing for a bourbon 200ish mile relay, and a fly-by by Deadhead.
