2020 (seconds) for 2020

All BackBlasts Backblasts

December 29th, 2020 By Exit54

16 of Harrisburg’s coldest were out at post time to begin the farewells for 2020…

WARM-UP:

Mosey around the lot, COP in front of the stadium ticket office.

SSH x 20 (IC)

IST x 25 (IC)

Windmills x 10 (IC)

THE THANG:

To commemorate the incomparable Year 2020, I planned out 2,020 seconds of Tabata (or 33:40 in more familiar terms). This left little time for warm-up and no time for recovery. I chose ten exercises, 101 seconds each, with a REPEATO to get us to 2020. The circuit went like this:

1. Shoulder Taps

2. Lunges

3. LBCs

4. Plank Jacks

5. Squats

6. Reverse Crunches

7. Carolina Drydocks

8. Duck Walks

9. V-Ups

10. Elbow Plank

Intermission: run out the center lane, loop back around to the left, return to the ticket office locale.

REPEATO the above but in reverse order.

Mosey to MARY

MARY:

Crunchy Frog for 1 minute

The Squirm for 1 minute

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

F3 10th Anniversary workout will be at the Speedway Friday morning at 0700. Should see some of our Dawg House and Highlands brothers there.

Afton Run and Gremlin coming up in January.

MOLESKINE:

Good turnout today in spite of the 30 degree weather, especially by our Respects. Your Q advertised this one on Slack as ‘bidding farewell to 2020 in style’, something that clearly appealed to a lot of you.

The circuit was simple enough, 10 exercises where I tried to alternate shoulders, legs, core. But making each a 101 second duration, allowing for no recovery, and adding in a REPEATO is where things got challenging. Limited mumblechatter coming from the peanut gallery so I think it did the trick.

As for the theme, I think we’ll all remember Year 2020 for the rest of our lives. So many challenges and unfortunate breaks but I really believe the PAX have helped me get thru it unscathed, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. What better way to commemorate this thing than 2020 seconds of suck?

Once again, thanks to you guys for all the good you do. So much impact from this group, it’s an honor to call you all brothers.
