Feels Like The First Time
All BackBlasts BackblastsNovember 10th, 2020
As it was my first Q I posted a little early to run through things one last time before getting rolling, but as 0625 passed, I wondered if I’d be posting a backblast on a solo workout. However, no sooner than that negative thought entered my head, 5 achy-breaky HIMs showed up, strapped on a ruck and joined YHC for a fun-filled journey through the sandlot. Here’s how it went:
Warm Up
Disclaimer was given following a mosey to the far side of the parking lot.
- SSH x 15
- IST x 15
- Mountain Climbers x 15
Mosey to the tennis courts

Rucks on. Music on. Let’s roll.

- Corner 4: Burpees
After making your way around the courts twice, mosey to the flag pole.

- Sprint to the benches
- Dips x 30
- Sprint back to the flag pole.
Repeato for 3 cycles then mosey back to the cars.

Moleskin
- Lots of snapping, crackling and popping out there today. It seems like everyone was still recovering from Saturday’s legendary Harrisburg Bowl.
- It’s amazing how much difference having a ruck on during a beatdown makes. The lunge walks were killer even for a short amount of time. Next time I may reimagine the transitions. Apologies to everyone’s knees.
- Some excellent beat matching during the IST cadence from Chaos. You’d make John Williams proud.
- DT must’ve been an accountant in another life… “$8.50 isn’t $8.00!”
- Thanks to everyone for bearing with me while I figured it out today, it was an honor to lead. This group has had such a positive impact in so many areas of my life and I’m proud to be a part of it and finally give back.
- Race on Saturday… bring it.
