Back to the Gloom for Day 2, #FlipU

All Harrisburg Backblasts

September 8th, 2020 By FlipPhone

24 men returned to the cool gloom this beautiful morning.  Temps in the low 60s, dark at the start, and still dark at the finish.  The gloom is back and it felt better than ever, until we starting working.

YHC tried to think of something new and original, but after years of working out at the ridge, it’s a challenge to come up with something brand new, at least for me.  A blend of bear crawls, running with a sprint finish, and tabata was on the plan and we got it done.  It went like this.

Warm Up

SSH x 20, IST x 15, Windmill x 12, Mountain Climber x 20, Merican x 10

The Thang

Plank walk mericans

Find a line and plank up

1 merican at the start line, plank walk to the right and do 2 mericans

Plank walk back and forth with increasing merican counts up to 7

Bear Crawl suicides

Bear crawl to line, 10 mericans, run back

3 lines worth

Negative split run around the school

Mosey pace around the gravel track on the outside of the school

Sprint pace from one side of school to the other

Do this twice

Tennis Court Tabata

Round 1 – mericans

Round 2 – LBCs

Round 3 – move to picnic tables for dips

Mosey back to base

Mary

Mason Twist x 15

Freddy Mercury x 15

Moleskin

Great work this morning guys, thanks for coming out

Good to have the vacationers back this morning, @DrLecter, @Exit54, @Solocup

Clear skies and a beautiful morning.

Didn’t hear too much mumblechatter, except confusion on which way to go for plank walk mericans.  Do what I do, not what I say.

@Solocup still has some speed when he wants to.  He can shake his arms as fast as @BirdCage at least.  Not sure who won their race at the end, but we’ll call it a tie to be settled at Laps4Hope.

Continued prayers for @BlackMarket’s father as he struggles with dementia.

Great to see @Skid back out, sporting a cool new shirt!  Good work man, keep it up.
