Harris Depot Hill Segment

17 men came out to chase glory on the Harris Depot Hill Strava segment.
The route: From Town Center, Right on 49, Left on Veteran’s Parkway, Right on School Circle to Harris Depot (approximately 1 mile). Give it all you got from the bottom of Harris Depot at the railroad tracks up to Oakley, then mosey back down. Repeato til 6:35ish then back to start point.

- Brad Panovich said today was the highest dew point of the year, so it must be true. Killer work out there to cut through the humidity and get after it.
- TClaps to Flip Phone for correcting me on the Strava segment. I thought it only went to School Circle, but it goes all the way to Oakley.
- Overheard on the mosey from Town Center to Harris Depot: “I don’t even know your wife, but I had this dream….” Gotta #ShowToKnow for the rest of that story.
- Looks like at least four of us set new PRs on that segment today. TClaps to Exit 54 (now 2nd overall), Pocahantes (now 3rd overall), and Birdcage. And according to Strava I was only two seconds slower on that segment than Flip Phone. I don’t believe it, but I’ll take it.
- Prayers for the family of former Concord High School student Emmanuel Konneh who recently lost his life in a swimming accident.
- Good update from Deadhead’s family about their recovery from Hurricane Laura.
