PEOPLE’S MARY
- I very clearly remember Practice leading a round of Jane Fondas, but that left such a clear impression it’s a little hard to remember the rest
- I think Hong Kong led some Pretzel Crunch, Tumbler called 10 sit ups from some world war or armed conflict, Gamma called cadence on a high number of Low Flutters, and Exit finished us up with some In & Outs. Kobains for any I missed.
MOLESKIN
- Strong showing out there by everyone, with lots of competition on each sprint. Even notorious cheater & rule-bender Exit 54 managed to steal a victory or two with his unfair tactics of eating well & out-training everyone else. The nerve!
- Welcome the newly named Vespa, formerly known as Matt Cook, and welcome to his son FNG Grayden Cook. Aye!
- Strong showing by all ages today, with two 13 year olds & two 63 year olds and lots in between.
- Prayers for the Hicks family with a cancer diagnosis in their family.
- Reminder to keep our heads on a swivel & our eyes open for ways to help everyone in our community dealing with some real struggles of virtual learning. Teachers are stressed, students are stressed (especially elementary students, students with special needs, etc.), parents are struggling to keep up with monitoring & helping their kids while also working, etc. Don’t wait for them to ask for help. Know a family of a teacher? Call/text and tell them you’re bringing them dinner one night. Know of a neighbor or other family with a younger elementary student? Offer for your high school or college student to come over & tutor them during the day & help keep them on task with their classes. Know of a family with a student with special needs? Offer the same things as above, and even more so. Know of a classmate who is home alone & struggling because their parent(s) have to be away from home working? Offer for that student to come to your house & do online school with your kid(s) sometimes. Lots of people all around Harrisburg are going through this & would appreciate a hand, and even more so at Title I schools like Rocky River Elementary, Concord Middle, and others (full list here).
