Hills and humidity don’t mix
All Harrisburg BackblastsJuly 29th, 2020
12 men answered the call of the hill this morning despite the late-night battle of wits with scared kids and pets. The hill was the same that we’ve done more than a few times, but the level of effort required to conquer it on a day like today was just a little … ok, maybe a lot, more than we expected.
We got the job done, as we always do. We’re “F3 Strong” after all, like I tell my 2.0s when I show off by opening the jar of pickles. Seriously though, a lot of strong work was done this morning. The challenge to the pax was to run hard at least twice all the up the hill. Hard enough that you’re struggling to breathe and not able to “chit chat” about how bad the HEC is going to be and how many burpees we’ll end up doing. The I-can’t-breathe pace for 2 hills was easily achieved in this morning.
The route looked like this. It wasn’t quite as fun as it looked though.

@Exit54 probably got robbed this morning on his push in the 3rd or 4th climb. He was pushing hard and a long way in front of YHC. Strava didn’t respect the effort though. He must have missed the little dance jig in the middle that’s required to get it just right.
T-claps to @Gamma for setting a PR on the hill. YHC overheard that at coffee, so it’s probably true, but maybe not. Well done anyway.
T-claps to @Chaos for making it out to Road Warrior. Keep up the consistency brother. Nice job.
@Birdcage is on a mission. He’s about to be the #FastestSlowGuy, surpassing @Solocup, if @Solocup will show up. Great job on the consistency brother. Awesome to see you committed and getting after it.
@Pocahontas is also on a mission to beat YHC at another marathon. T-claps on the pre-run and getting after it 6 days a week.
@Deadhead, @Starsky, @Wexler, and @Gapper were out there grinding it out. Consistency is key, nice job guys.
@Clueless and @Espresso are in a league of their own. Glad it’s not me trying to keep up with @Espresso 5 days a week.
We “almost” had a @Hootie and @Tbone sighting. You’ll never get the crown if you don’t run. Weird how that works. Paying Russians on the side is fair game though.
