Lasso Miles…and Miles
All Rolling Stone BackblastsJuly 22nd, 2020
5 men decided some miles were what they wanted this fine muggy morning…or if you are two-shirts Soprano, delightfully breezy, mild morning. Chachi was the sole rucker as Thickburger knew he couldn’t keep up with the Walking Wonder and stayed sleeping. The rest of us took off for the Lasso Loop, not via the greenway, but through the mean streets of Moss Creek. We did 4 laps and averaged 5 miles as a group. Chachi did his thing and got in 3 miles, which is an impressive number in 45 minutes, but becoming commonplace for the master of the rucktorial arts.
COT: I sign up for Qs according to significant dates, today is my baby brother’s bday…and once again…I failed to mention it. So happy bday right here bro! Prayers for some level of normalcy to return to our world. F3 Albemarle this Saturday.
Moleskin: This probably had to be the highest mileage cruise by pax in RS Satisfaction Cruise history. *We arrived back at the AO a few minutes late, which helps with mileage, but the effort was real. Love Seat getting 4.8 miles done has to be a PR. YHC got just over 5, while Soprano and JB got about 5.2. THEN there was the post run. Chachi and Love Seat bid their adieu while Soprano and YHC took off with JB on his run home. Soprano decided against simply one mile and kept going as we ran the P. JB headed home, after running TO the Cruise. Soprano and QIC headed back with YHC deciding to skip the extra 2 miles or so he had planned. Dust settled: JB – 9.3 miles. Soprano – 9 miles. YHC – 8.5 miles. YHC thinks we need to check Soprano’s new Hoka’s for their legality as it seems he has just taken off after he got them. Summer should now just be called Soprano season. JB said he is pretty much done with wearing a shirt this summer, he also appears to be done with reflective gear… Can’t blame the man going shirtless though, YHC will likely be following suit. That was a heckuva run gents! 31.6 miles by 4 pax! Thank goodness MC wasn’t there to run 2 loops and head back to the AO, woulda jacked up our average…
