WoW! Hills!
All Harrisburg BackblastsJuly 15th, 2020
14 Brave Souls came out this morning to take on some Hills! Apparently Harris Depot and Oakley have switched garbage days to Wednesday mornings and the heat and humidity mixed quite terribly with the emerging smells…..
After our one mile warm up jog, the Pax were given options.
- The Regular Extending hills adding on an extra hill each time up
- @Espresso’s 90 second sprints up the hill – Repeato x 8
The Route:

@TBone got out early to put in the extra work and was flying up the hill! He didn’t lose a step coming out of self quarantine after his negative result…which is positive!
@Birdcage hit up his first hills and did not disappoint! Tackling the hills head on and winning!
Not even swallowing a Murder Hornet could stop @Koozie from crushing those Hills
It is amazing to watch how much stronger and faster @Espresso gets every week. Put in the work, get the results
It looks like for the time being though, @Clueless still has him on the hills though. Just a complete beast out there this morning!
@Pocohantas keeps telling us that he has slowed down but then all his actions seem to contradict that as he was setting PRs out there!
@FlipPhone just owns these hills. He designed the route and he isn’t about to let anyone beat him on it!
Great to have @Flash back out who wasted no time jumping into the ‘Chase Espresso’ Game. Bold move but way to hang in there!
Always a good day when we get THE Ironman to run with us, @Riptide out there showing us how to do it. He just glides up those hills…even while wearing a shirt!
@IvyLeague attacked the hills as if the Bursar was chasing after him!
Not sure you can find a more true HIM than @Talladega. Always pushing himself out there, always pushing and supporting others, and putting in the extra work to make sure he rounds everyone up!
@Deadhead is just consistently strong out there! One foot in front of the other, he just keeps showing up and putting in the work week in and week out.
Huge Props to @DickTracy who not only hit up his first hills but refused to take the easy way out. He came out to run the full course and that is just what he did!
Announcements:
- Fall event planning is in full swing. Be on the lookout for more details! @Kojak is bringing the plan into focus and you do not want to miss this! Clear your entire schedule for the fall!
- This Saturday July 18th, @DickTracy’s Driveway Drinkathon is on! Let DT know if you can make it. Spots are filling up fast! Hurry up and secure your asphalt space today! #marketing
Moleskin:
Great turnout today and lots of effort left out on that hill! Always great to see the regulars but thrilled to see a few first timers out there putting in the work! Its such a great workout as we basically stay together and you get out of it whatever you put in. Running (or honestly more walking) hills helped me go from not being able to run a mile to running every day. Highly suggest you check it out next time!
We did come in a little late today and I take full responsibility for that. i was trying to get everyone back by 6:45am. However, many Pax came out with a plan and were not going to let time run out on them. Huge props to both @Dicktracy and @Birdcage for showing up and putting in the work! While I missed it, sounds like @Koozie got more of a show than he was expecting on the way back to base.
@Flipphone really is the King of those Hills. @Pocohantas and @Tbone were both so excited this morning when they broke his Strava record! One even taking a screen shot and texting it to him to make sure he saw it. And then Strava updated this morning’s run and the King swiped his crown back! Needless to say @Flipphone is most likely still giggling at this very moment.
Thank you for supporting me, pushing me, and allowing me to lead!
