The night before the battle, the blast was set and the next mornings gloom was to be tenderly frigid. Not cold enough for winter gear, but cold enough for most of the puppies to fartsack and stay indoors afraid of what the gloom may bring.
The morning arrived and YHC arrived a tad earlier than his normal posting as this would be his Metal VQ. He had to be prepared, he had to see this through because he was determine to catch no crap from the “Vortex.” Two weeks prior the Metal standard was set by the clean shaven, haircare dude during the “HeadnShoulders 500!” The Gopher had to bring it and so it was as follows…
Six golden warriors arrived, most in their chariots of Ford and Chevy, one dared show up in a Dodge. Surprised he made it. Why bother brother?
The time was 5:30 and we launched

As we ended we were being serenaded by Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” and we were minus our “Rick” who is “working” at the beach doing his version of Kettlebells which is two 12 ounce Coors cans (smaller bells than mine).
Mary was not here this morning as she was at home making me breakfast where she belongs.
