It had been 3 very dark mornings with sub-zero* temperatures. Concord was locked in a prison of ice by the winter vortex. Many pax had over those days brought their best out in the gloom to rage against the cold, and each time they retreated to the coffee shop leaving the vortex weakened but still in formation. Until 8 of Concord’s finest launched a final assault…

… and as the dawn broke, the vortex began to crumble.

Was it MightyMouse and Pri’Ry’s naked legs that burned through the am frost? Or the enormous hearts pounding violently in cadence? Who knows for sure, but pax in future days will accept their beatdowns in gratitude (at least until the next cold snap)

Warmup:
Parking lot stretches (High kicks, butt kickers, karaoke)
COP (SSH 20x, Plank jack 20x, IST 20X)

The Main Course:

Pax in 4 p
Station 1 – Lunge with Paver / Crabwalk with paver
Station 2 – Decline WWII’s (using hill and cinder blocks to anchor feet) / Freddie-Merx
Station 3 – Pullups / merkins
Timer – pax lap the AO at outer edge.

Moleskins: Strong effort by all. Didn’t even have to repeat the instructions. Nice to have an AO with all of its amusing rides – Shout out to all those in the past who made it so (especially whoever put the hill behind the church – TP was that you?) Still working through plantar fascitis, but felt great to be back. T-Claps to Phidip who posted early for a wakeup lap around the mall. Please remember to pray for Hipbone’s daughter recovering from back surgery and Church friends of MightyMouse – a family whose mother/wife is in the throes of cancer with pretty grim prospects.
