YHC saw the forecast was for rain but knowing the fortitude of the Mint Hill Pax, I am sure they will scoff at the elements and post in large number.  Only 4 (including YHC) showed up.  Oh well, I plant the flag at 0525, waiting until the last minute so as not to get soaked, then head over to the shelter to begin our beatdown.  Full disclosure: I have been planning for the Gremlin so much I totally forgot that today was the anniversary of his death (1/13/18), can you believe it?!.  Bluecrush mentioned it which made this beatdown only that much more memorable.  My only wish was that more Mint Hill brothers could have been here to partake and share fond memories of our fallen brother.

The Thang

Partner up for a few rounds of 100’s (50 reps/pax) – Gremlin LOVED 50 reps of anything!

  1. Round 1: 1 Pax does 10 Burpees (timer), other Pax does Low Flutters.  Keep switching until the team does 100 Burpees.  Plank when finished, Switch partners.
  2. Round 2: 1 Pax does 10 Incline Merkins (timer), other Pax does LBC’s.  Keep switching until the team does 100 Incline Merkins.  Plank when finished, Switch partners.
  3. Round 3: 1 Pax does 10 Decline Merkins (timer), other Pax does Reverse Crunches.  Keep switching until the team does 100 Decline Merkins.  Plank when finished, Switch partners.
  4. Round 4:  1 Pax does 10 Step-ups (ea leg) (timer), other Pax does wall sit.  Keep switching until the team does 100 step-ups.  Audible – stop at team max of 60

We need Mint Hill assistance the morning of the event.  I would like all who can, to please arrive at 0500 at the latest.  Pax should bring a fluorescent green shirt to wear while we help direct cars to around the parking deck.  I will need men stationed at the following locations by 0520:

  1. Both entrances to West Deck – TBD
  2. West Deck floor 2B ramp – TBD
  3. West Deck floor 3A ramp – Change Order
  4. West Deck Floor 3B ramp – Silas
  5. West Deck Entrance to open area of deck – Blucrush
  6. West Deck Roof to assist with securing flags to fencing – TBD
  7. 2 Pax to assist with sign in tables – Hornet & TBD

All Mint Hill Pax will stop their duties at 0555 and begin to head to the roof of the West Deck.  They will usher lingering Pax on 3rd floor to make their way up to the roof for an 0600 start.

We really miss our brother and look forward to lifting him up this coming weekend.  Let Gremlin be a lesson to all of us that life is too short, hug your family everyday, tell them you “love them”, and every once in a while it is OK to to keep a skirt in the trunk of your car for those “Nancy’s” who need a little dose of motivation.  SYITG! #someoneremembersthisno?
