After YHC started his pre-run from home at 0510, the sprinkles were enough to discourage the pre and post runs. YHC can handle some rain but not feeling 100% to begin with, decided 90 minutes of rain wasn’t a good idea. Back home for the car.

Rolled into the lot at a very punctual 0529 to find 7 HIM plus Sparknut’s beautiful white pup gathered on a not so beautiful morning. Sugar wouldn’t miss a chance to workout in the rain but clearly others aren’t quite as dedicated. 3 ruckers and the pup flip a coin to determine whether or not to start or end with the double lizard greenway. 4 runners opted for some speed work at the track to avoid the wet roads and sleepy drivers.

• Runners: sprint 400m, walk 200m, sprint 800m, walk 200m. Repeato, repeato.
• Ruckers marched through the hood and finished with the greenway.
• A little wet but nothing this group couldn’t handle.

Announcements / Prayers / Moleskin

• Prayers for Sparknut’s brother, Heatstroke’s dad, Sugar’s daughter and Alcatraz’s daughter.
• Plenty of prayers for the Pax not in attendance today as well for recovers from various injuries and ailments.
• Close with announcements and COT.  Kilowatt and Soprano take off for their extra mile post run. Each are 2.5 weeks out from the Charlotte races with Soprano looking for his first half marathon and Kilowatt challenging himself to the full marathon.
• YHC had near zero motivation this morning, especially after I decided to go back and get the car. This group of guys is what pushes me to do better, to be better. Iron sharpens iron.
