Veterans Day KB Murph Bellbuster
All Rolling Stone BackblastsNovember 12th, 2018
YHC rolled in just before 0530 to find 3 pax awaiting. Get the flag in the ground, welcome our passporter Scooter, and briefly explain our work today. Honoring Veterans. When you think of a workout to honor our servicemen, one immediately comes to mind, The Murph. But this is Bellbuster, so let’s spin this towards our beloved kettlebells. Disclaimer given and we proceed to…
Warmarama: SSH, Merkins, WM, CP, IST – Life Alert misses all this as a late arrival, but folds in for the real work.
The Thang: “The Iowa” KB inspired Murph workout YHC found on interwebs…with bookend 1 mile runs added:

Timing worked out about perfect as we rolled in from our 2nd mile run at 0615.
COT: Prayers and praise for all of our servicemen. The 5 of us went around and named family members that have served our country, and the list was long. It is good to spend some time keeping them top of mind and not forgetting the freedom they protect for us. One freedom is the right to assemble…and drink some colds ones – Thursday is Happy Hours at Johnny Bruscos. Roomba’s bootcamp VQ is tomorrow!
Moleskin: Chilly morning today and going to be chilly this week. Great to see Project, Manwich, Life Alert and our passporter from Harrisburg, Scooter, taking their DRP. This group loves them red pills in the morning, always getting after it! Fellowship pace for the one mile runs as I didn’t want Scooter to get lost after leaving us all in the dust (although we were at about 8:30 pace on the first one and everybody handled it real nice.) Tire carries are fun when water is spilling out all over your legs and feet #embracethesuck. Waramarama was only performed to see if anybody showed up late, and we were already off on the one mile run. Life Alert’s late arrival bore out the wisdom in that call. Well done gentlemen, great start to the week! Keep all those veterans in your thoughts today.
