All Highlands BackblastsAugust 10th, 2018
Another halftener laced them up for a new twist on Speed.
THE THANG
=>Warm up mosey down Shelly ave to the back of HCE
Squat Ladder
- Sprint to other side of lot, do 1 squat
- Sprint back to other side, do 10 thrust squats
- Repeato to complete the ladder (we modified and did exercise by 2 half way through)
Frisbee Sprints
- Break into 2 teams and throw the frisbee to the first goal post
- Partner 1 run around frisbee and back, Partner 2 run around Frisbee and back
- Repeato x10
- Same thing. but throw frisbee to the next goal and repeato x5
The Main Event – Frisbee Golf Speed Style!
- One “player” on Team 1 picks a “hole.” Both teams play the hole at the same time for speed. The first team to complete the hole gets 5 points and the loser gets 3.
- 1 player tees off. All players must run to get the frisbee and then a different player throws the next “shot.” Repeat until the hole is complete. No one can take the next shot until all players arrive at the frisbee.
- Once a hole is complete, the alternating team picks the next hole. Repeat until time runs out.
- We modified along the way as the PAX got creative with hole placement and exercises, so all players would stay together for each throw. You had to be there to understand.
=>Complete final hole by El Guapo, which got us back to the start

- Thanks for rolling with the new twist on Speed. I think it kept everyone moving and sweating. I really liked the modifications along the way. We may have to try that for a bootcamp too. #showtoknow
- Speaking of no show, Stoli was not there.
- We did keep score, but we kept switching teams and lost track.
- Check Strava, we were all over the place and covered 2.5 miles.
- Have a great weekend. Spend time with the kids before they go back to school.

Great beatdown today @Pavarotti. Thanks for leading this one, it was fun. I think I can add “accurately throwing a Frisbee for distance” to the long and growing list of things that I can’t do well at all. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my team lost almost every hole.
