Honoring Special Operator 2nd Class Ryan Job
All Comanche BackblastsMarch 2nd, 2018
Sixteen men (well, 16 started, 15 finished) came together today to honor Special Operator 2nd Class Ryan Job, Navy Seal. Job was a straight up badass and this workout reflected that. Here’s what we did:
Burpees x 20
Pullups x 15
Lunge Jumps x 60
Merkins x 25
1000 m run
That was one set. We did three total sets. The group finished right around 6:05, so Buckwheat led us in some Mary to close us out. And just an FYI for those of us who posted, Ryan Job did the above workout in 26 minutes. Oh yeah, he was also blind. Damn!
I ended with a short, and winded, description of Ryan Job. Some further digging revealed additional information. He was wounded while on a mission in Ramadi, Iraq in 2006. A sniper’s bullet hit his machine gun sending shrapnel into his face. He survived his wounds, got married in 2007, climbed Mt. Rainier in 2008, and passed away in 2009 from complications due to surgery. You can find more information about him here and here. I encourage you to read those sources. He was a true hero.
