Rumors of the The Satisfaction Cruise’s End Are Greatly Exaggerated
All Rolling Stone BackblastsJanuary 24th, 2018
YHC picked up today’s Q while in an Uber catching an earlier flight back home. A request was made from the PAX for ruck-friendly fishbone for the ruckers. YHC dutifully prepared for a PAX’ choice fishbone by rolling into the AO with 50# of ruck and saw that Pox, Golden Boy and Roomba were ready to hit the streets; but none of the usual ruckers were present. At 0529, YHC checked Slack to see that the PAX requesting fishbone tapped out. The decision was made for YHC to join the runners as it would some other level of awkward to ruck solo while the other PAX go the distance and go for speed.
At 0531, Heatstroke rolled up with the shovel flag and rigged out for rucking. El Sabado rolled up seconds behind him in what is a record early time to join the runners. Pox had the route worked out for the runners and we were off. Heatstroke decided to ruck solo. YHC isn’t a betting man, but a safe wager would cite Heatstroke’s footwear.
That’s a lone rucker and 5 runners.
DISCLAIMER and we’re off
Heatstroke has named the route he rucked the “Project route” which was to do the cutouts on the greenway on the way out and skip them on the way back. He reported just shy of 3 miles audible.
The runners hit the “P” route that takes us up Moss Farm, Moss Plantation towards the clubhouse, hanging a left on Village Commons crossing Davidson Hwy (NC73) to the end of Wellington Chase, taking a right at the “T” to Treeline to the next “T” (Lockwood). Then hanging a left on Wellington Chase and retracing steps back to the AO. The PAX chose to run around the AO and gather back for some Pox-led stretches (I’m sure he can elaborate in comments)
CoT
- Continued prayers for MC’s mom
- Travelling mercies for Roomba
- Qs open for tomorrow. Heatstroke is going to do an encore of his…um…interesting workout from earlier this week. Step up – unless you’re into that sorta thing (no judgement if that’s the case)
Moleskin
- The ruckers have not taken over the Cruise. As a matter of fact, almost zero rucking happened.
- Special thanks to Pox for bringing some much needed order.
Romans 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

AYE!
I found out today that my pace has slowed considerably. Don’t blame rucking…blame not running.
