In our simple way – IHO Gremlin – I am a Champion

All East Charlotte Backblasts

January 15th, 2018 By Chum

76 men of different sizes, shapes, colors, and flags gave up their considerably warmer fartsacks, and drove for miles to post in 19 degrees for 45 minutes. 76 to do one thing, honor the memory of our brother, Gremlin.

In brief we modified this workout to stay warm:

THEN THIS…

After this the paxmob forsook the frozen field work, it gathered to count off and say a few challenging words; its way honoring the tragic death and memory of our friend and brother, Gremlin. Who earned this name by no fault of his own because in real life he is also known as Rick Pinto.

Let this morning’s brief workout serve a reminder to the pax, not as any workout that will live in infamy, or as any workout that will go down in the annals of F3 as anything greater than another post on the site. This morning’s routine was not to inflate any balloons, egos, purposes or ideals. Its details were written by our friend and only slightly modified on the fly due to numbers; all of it to say thank you, Gremlin. Thank you for being here while you were here. Thank you for leading us on the road and teasing us along the way. Thank you for taking the like in turn and challenging us go on ahead and run our race. Beyond all these, thank you for reminding us that you are in fact a champion. But ultimately, thank you for your friendship and your ever understated example.

RICHARD VITO PINTO – aka “GREMLIN” – September 30, 1967 – January 13, 2018 – may you rest in peace brother. (services information can be found at the other end of this link)

Husband to Tonya. Father to Sophia, Gabrielle, and Alina. Brother to F3 Nation.

As one brother said recently, “It’s more than a workout, brother.” Yes it most definitely is.

  1. @Chum and F3 pax, thanks for honoring @Gremlin today. He is an F3 brother that I didn’t get to meet personally on this earth, but I pray I’ll meet him in the next life. Prayers for his family and all those mourning his passing. #RIP
