About 25 F3 Brothers and their families came to the Church of God Children’s home this year to honor Sweet Tooth’s memory.  The room was packed and there were close to 75 from F3, including Ms and 2.0s.

For any that don’t know, @Olive from F3 Lake Norman area lost his daughter, who was only 9-years old, to a sudden sickness.  In her honor, he created a foundation to bless the children in our community.

F3 Harrisburg, Dawg House, and other F3 Brothers throughout MECA came together to bless the kids of the Children’s Home and we’re all better for it.  The saying “it’s better to give than receive” is an undeniable truth that all of us witnessed it on this Friday night.

This was our third event with the Church of God Children’s home.  They remembered us and were very grateful for all the gifts, Chic Fil A, and the homemade deserts!

90% of these kids were there in the previous two events and will eventually age out of the system.  Libby and the Director, Ken, were very grateful for our help.  The home was in the process of getting three more boys (10, 7, and 3) from one family.  Their needs are not going away.

Major T-Claps to all the great men of F3 that made this happen.  We have some extremely generous men in the group and I’m honored to call you friends.  This group is much more than just a workout group and we’re better men just for being part of it.

If you bonded with any of the kids or are just interested in doing more, you can be a resource family (after a background check and home check) and take these kids home with you for events or anything.  Libby said life outside the home is something that would be great for these kids to experience.

I also found out that the Children’s home does take used clothing, toys, etc.  I’ve had several people ask about that in the past and I didn’t know the answer.  Libby said definitely!  They also have a thrift store, so whatever can’t get used by the home itself, can be sold to help them.
