All Rolling Stone Backblasts

November 1st, 2017 By Project

So a few days ago, YHC accepted an open invitation from fellow MeCa Pax Brian Baute (Future edit of F3 name coming if anyone knows it) to sign up for a ruck training program from Team Spearhead called Pathfinder (https://pathfinderrucktraining.com).  After checking out the interwebs, YHC took the leap in preparation for the upcoming GoRuck Tough in March 2018, along with some other PAX.  The program runs 12 weeks and the requirements are briefly listed below.  Since the training starts 11/01/17, I decided to take the Q for day one of training with a ruck workout.  As I posted, I would see there were four runners and 1 rucker, (this solo Q) for a total of 5 PAX posting in the gloom.  A super brief disclaimer to the F3 veterans and this is how it went.

Runners

Completed a circuit in MC that included the haunted day care route.  The running PAX averaged a blistering 7:10-9:10 minute pace for a 4 mile average.  Nice work gentlemen.  Keep up the work!

Rucker

As mentioned above, the Pathfinder Endure (Class 014) program requires the following for successful completion:

So for day 1, this is how the ruck workout went:

Ruck weight: 50#

Ruck 1 mile as fast as you can (YHC hit 15:45) and immediately go into the following ladder:

50 SSH
40 Lunges (20 each leg)
30 Side Lunges (15 each side)
20 Mountain climbers
10 Merkins
20 Mountain climbers
30 Side Lunges (15 each side)
40 Lunges (20 each leg)
50 SSH

Finish by rucking another mile as fast as you can (YHC forgot to pause the timer for the beatdown.  Lesson learned).

CoT

Moleskin

Go work gentlemen.  Looking forward to seeing you in the gloom.
