Just you against the clock- 4 minutes of fun
All The Dawg House BackblastsOctober 27th, 2017
YHC was encouraged by Gamma’s post a few days ago about not being complacent and pushing yourself to get better. I decided instead of just doing reps and sets that I’d try to race the clock instead. However hard I wanted to push myself, so be it, I would get in all I could until the bell rang. Thankfully, some more guys took the challenge as well so here’s how it went….
Disclaimer then mosey to warmup
- IST x10
- SSH x10
- Arm circles
- Windmill x10
- Mountain Climbers x10
Mosey to the raised flower beds
Clock set to 4 minutes for each of the following sequences. Keep going until the bell rings. For an added challenge, add another rep for each cycle. 1 lap is ~475ft.
- 10 dips, run a lap around the courtyard, 10 step ups, run a lap around the courtyard, repeat
- 10 derkins, run, 10 incline merkins, run, repeat
- 10 air squats, run, 10 leg curl twists (whatever we called them), run, repeat
Mosey to the parking lot
Same plan- 4 minute clock for each sequence, keep going until the bell rings, challenge yourself with an added rep for each cycle. 1 trip across the parking lot is ~160ft.
- 10 merkins, lunge walk across parking lot, 10 LBCs, lunge walk, repeat
- 10 WWIIs, bearcrawl across parking lot, 10 yurpees, bearcrawl, repeat
- Audible- after 2 bearcrawls, changed to run
- 10 plank jacks, run backward across parking lot, RLBCs, run backward, repeat
Mosey back to start for Mary
- mason twist
- J-Los
- low flutter
- low dolly
- stretch it out
Recover recover
Prayers/COT
- Bullseye’s dad- cancer
- Hokie Pokie’s dad- cancer
- Pharaoh’s M- foot
- Terrible Towel’s M- continued good health w/ pregnancy
- Kojak, 4-wide, Talladega- continued blessings
Moleskin
I’ve shared this before but I’ll say it again- whatever you do, give it 100% effort. You can’t give 90% today and say you will make it up tomorrow by giving 110%. 100 is 100, can’t give any more than that so there’s the challenge. Whatever you do- exercise, volunteer, lead, be a husband, be a father- give it 100% and you’ll be better for it. Encourage others by your example to put it all out there.

Thanks for the push today guys, was a great start to the day (and a great way to get warm).
Says the man wearing a short sleeve shirt……
Way to change things up and come up with a new way for us to challenge ourselves.
Dawghouse is lucky to have you in the PAX!!!
