This ain’t no BBQ. Celebrating Old Glory as only the PAX can.

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

August 17th, 2017 By Heatstroke

17 PAX took their DRP and entered the gloom this am.  YHC was not aware that it had rained the night before, which would only add to the delight of this morning’s festivities (#humidity #wetfield.)  A show of hands revealed pretty much all present were not familiar with “Old Glory,” well that was about to change.  Disclaimer given.  A brief description given as to what was about to occur and YHC grabbed the shovel flag and took off towards the HRMS track.  No warmarama today.

The Thang:

1 Mile run (mumblechatter about not exactly being a mile, ok, we’ll say .8 miles – more time for real work – less salad, more meat and potatoes.)  Sparknut ran an extra mile attemtpting to EH a sad clown, that, or he was trying to avoid burpees that YHC had already mentioned would be performed.  Probably a combination of both.

Plant SF in middle of football/soccer field

Each corner of the field represents a station where PAX would rotate/slosh through and perform:

YHC calls at 0600 – gather at SF at center of field.

1 Mile fellowship run back towards lot, ok .8 miles.  PAX exchanging flag along the way.  Quick stop at entrance to greenway for some “American” Monkey Humpers 10 IC.

Mary:

Duck, Duck, Goose (without the verbal cues and tapping) just run around the circle while PAX low flutter and IC counter does the W.  Go around circle with every PAX being the Goose. Brief stoppage as Sugar felt Mary ended when he was the Goose, nope. Loud, borderline out of control mumblechatter to the completion of the circle and recover, recover.

COT:

Moleskin:

Great way to start the day, gentlemen!

  1. OG!!

  2. In regards to: “We went with the latter so as not to confuse our mathematically challenged PAX with different numbers, need to keep it simple around here”…… WE AREN’T HERE FOR EASY!

    1. Haha! And that right there is the real answer. Had to go the Big Boy route, really don’t care about any math deficiencies.

  3. That was awesome! Next service project… repair football field.

  4. Running around in clockwise circles today was a nice change from running around in counter-clockwise circles yesterday.
