Revenge of the Lightweights

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

August 11th, 2017 By kilowatt

My biggest regret the last time I tried this is that I missed out on the opportunity to use the spare 20# that I get grief for bringing. This time…it’ll bring the grief.

7 PAX assemble at 0530 in favorable conditions.

Disclaimer

The power in this disclaimer (the part about it being an active parking lot) was strong as Sparknut would channel it to stare down a confused driver in the parking lot.

CONVEYOR BELT

Stations:

  1. Al Gore with Kettlebell (should we call this the “Igor”?) – 20# brings enough pain for shoulders
  2. Upright Rows
  3. Chest Press (BG)
  4. Curls
  5. Sumo Squat (BR)
  6. Turkish Getups (AKA “the end” – lighter spares are helpful here) – nearly everyone pinked up the 25# (pinky)

After the last station, run to first station and relieve the PAX at that station. The relieved PAX then bear crawls to the next station who relieves that PAX and so on…

Note: The #Stations=(PAX-1)…so if you have 3 PAX, you only get 2 stations…someone’s gotta run.

We got about 5 cycles in…then civil twilight appears signaling that the fun was almost over.

Was a little disappointed we didn’t hit double digits in order to round out the week with 10+ for each beatdown. However, this is an historic week:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

  1. Aye!

  2. @kilowatt- well done sir! Two brutal beat downs back to back. I’m hoping my quads and gleuts will recover enough to get me through the family hiking trip at Blowing Rock tomorrow.

    1. If they can keep up with you, please tell them “You’re Welcome” from me.
