At least 11 men woke this morning with the intention of taking on the Devil’s Pitchfork. There may have been more, but only 11 followed through. Pitchfork King SS Minnow was not there, but appears he was killing a 10 mile run out west instead.

Quick recap of the route for the first timer, then we’re off.
Each cycle is 1.8 miles with ~250ft of climb (until someone corrects me, I’m going with that)

1. That sucked, but some of you guys just make it look easy. I believe Exit54 got 3 rounds. Anyone else? Most got 2 and maybe a little extra.

2. Great to see Escalade back in the mix after all the travel and recent move. Kid’s still got it.

3. Tclaps to Teen Wolf for giving this a try for the first time.

4. Awesome effort by Riptide, running to the Pitchfork, getting two cycles in, then running home (10.4miles all in)

5. Thanks to Flip Phone for taking us out. Keep TotalPackage’s son and MFlipPhone’s cousin in your prayers.

6. On my second trip down Grovesner St, I came across a familiar looking dog sitting dutifully sitting along the curb. Didn’t even flinch as I ran by. Turns out Gapper had him stay there while he continued down to the end and back. This told me a few things: 1) I was way behind Gapper, 2) If Gapper can get his kids to sit that still as well, he’s my hero and 3) Solo Cup was nowhere in the area since the dog wasn’t mocked for half-assing it.

  1. Strong work this morning.

  2. Of course I can get my kids to stay like that. Give them an iPhone with unlimited data and they won’t move for weeks if they have their choice. #Hero

+1 on #TClaps to Teen Wolf. Strong work on his virgin Pitchfork.

  3. I was the only one out there Half Assing it this morning. Thanks for taking the lead.

Everyone go ahead and sign up to lead a work out in August. Lot’s of open spots and we can’t have duplicates.

    Thanks,

  4. Good work guys.

Next week, @Exit54, I’ll finish that last leg with you, even if I’m 5 minutes late. Thanks for the push.

  5. Great work by all – that humidity was brutal this morning!
