Comanche DOESN’T Know Football
All Comanche BackblastsJune 22nd, 2017
First off, #Cobains for this very late BB. Work and family stuff took precedence today. Nonetheless, here’s what went down at Comanche in the gloom this morning. Since @Mr McFeely fartsacked, he can at least read about what we did WELL after the fact…
15 stallions, including FNG Justin, now known as “2 Blocks,” visitors @Wilson from F3Richmond, and his pal, @Brady Bunch, and an F3 OG Kotter named @Chicken Coop showed up for a beatdown and that they got. It was a bit different than normal. We started off by discussing the tragic accident involving our F3 Lexington brother, John “Cheech” Flanagan. In light of that terrible situation, a thorough disclaimer was given and we discussed the importance of looking out for one another during beatdowns, but especially when running. YHC received and sent notice late last night that today was sleeveless day to show support for @Cheech and lift him up. Unfortunately, only a few got the memo. Regardless, we still lifted up our brother and his family this morning. Sadly, we learned of his passing shortly after the beatdown this morning. R.I.P. @Cheech. Prayers go out to @Cheech’s family and F3 Lexington brothers as they try and pick up the pieces and support one another.
After our discussion and disclaimer, we went to work by doing the standard Parkour Mosey to COP:
Warmorama
SSH X15IC
Merkins X10IC
Windmill X10IC
Cotton Picker X10IC
Mountain Climber X15IC
Michael Phelps X10IC
Last night, I asked the Pax if they were ready for some football. Clearly they were not. We lined up for a 3/4 mile slow Indian Run over to the high school and around the stadium parking lot. This was a little different as the Pax were asked to lateral the football to the back of the line while running and the second to last person at the end of the line sprints to the front to catch a pass from the last person in line. Oh yeah, there’s a five burpee penalty if the ball hits the ground during our run. There were grumblings of flashbacks to high school almost immediately. We had a fumble on a lateral, a few drops, and some poor throws (overthrown and underthrown). The collective groan of the Pax every time the ball hit the ground was priceless. We won’t name any names though…. Well, just one. No throw was worse than @Ace Ventura’s which went almost as far as my five year old daughter can throw a football. He’s of Polish descent, so we didn’t hammer him too hard for it. Well, not really, we crushed him for it. Oops. About 3/4 of a mile and 30ish burpees later, we arrived in the bus lot behind the high school at the top of the hill. Air squats while waiting for the six then run to the bottom of the hill where the following instructions were given: Do 25 LBC’s, run to the bleachers for 10 step ups each leg, then either spider man merkin or reverse spider man merkin up the stairs. Run to top of the hill and do 20 jump squats. Repeato the loop w/ all exercises for a second round. Some people cheated by going to the set of stairs on the left to avoid running more of the hill. However, they were greeted with a longer stairwell and the pain and suffering of more spider man merkins. Fair Trade? Depends on who you ask. All I know is I saw @Robin’s Nest Reverse Spider Man Merkin that whole big stairwell. Well done, brother! @Opioid was fighting it, but powered through. @Pongo got some pep in his step during one set of step ups as he looked like Jane Fonda and Richard Simmons combined knocking out some steps. @Depth Charge and @Sizzlean were puttin in work too! @Wilson, @Blind Date, @Hugo, and I believe @Brady Bunch were overachievers and got to the bottom of the hill and did 25 more LBC’s as the rest of us finished up our second set of jump squats. Well done, men!
Once two rounds of the above medley were complete, we moseyed to the side of the high school for a little game of Punt, Pass, & Kick F3 Style. A Pax member throws, punts, or kicks the ball and everyone sprints to it. First Pax to the ball calls an exercise and rep count. @Wilson, who complains a lot about running, was a straight up rabbit today. After killing the hill medley, @Wilson out-sprinted everyone until @Haskell and @Stick managed to get the ball a few times there at the end. We learned two new MARY exercises thanks to @Wilson. Crab Cakes and a Wilson’s Wife Approved Leg Lift with One leg over the other. Not sure what that one was called, but it was a good one! @Stick tortured us with 20 Mason Twists IC. Must be nice to be 11…. @Haskell inflicted a serious round of homer to marge on the Pax. So much time has elapsed since the beatdown, I can’t remember the other exercises called during Punt, Pass, and Kick :-(. #HORRIBLEQ
Once we finished Punt, Pass & Kick, we moseyed back to the elementary school for MARY. Hugo led one exercise while I grabbed my phone. Thanks, brother! YHC called 15 pretzel crunch IC (each side) and we were DONE.
Somber Moleskin:
1) So sorry to hear about @Cheech’s passing after our beatdown. Everything we did this morning seems so insignificant as a result. Continued prayers for his family and F3 Lexington brothers.
2) Welcome FNG “2 Blocks.” Strong work again today, brother!
3) Good to see you back in the mix @Chicken Coop. Welcome back to F3, brother!
4) Thanks for visiting @Wilson and @Brady Bunch, it’s been a pleasure having you the past two weeks, brothers!
5) @Depth Charge- Way to tough it through the running today with your bum hip. Hope it’s starting to feel better.
6) Wilson has the RED Friday Q at #Comanche tomorrow. Let’s show up in force to support him!
7) Was trying something a little different than the norm today. Hope everyone enjoyed it.

Sound off below. Feel free to let me have it for the tardiness of my BB and whatever else you want.
We should come up with a Mad-Libs style template for the very busy Q’s. Nice work today though.
My heart breaks for Cheech, his M and 2.0’s. May they find peace in Christ’s love and may the woman that struck him feel peace and find forgiveness in her own heart.
Well said @Haskell!
Back blasts are like a drug. It is needed to round off a solid beat down. You crushed me today. I will be bringing a few things back to RVA! Like Homer to Marge….. It’s been great working out with the awesome PAX of Concord. I am so excited to Q tomorrow. #FEBA #runningsucks
Great BB Buckwheat! Hate I missed the beatdown. So sad to hear about Creech. My prayers are with his family.
Wilson! I’ll be sad clowning it in the hotel gym in Boone but know that I’ll be with you in spirit for your red Friday beatdown. Until we meet again!
RIP @cheech
Enjoyed your visit @wilson_RVA , thanks for leaving a little bit of yourself at the Comanche AO! #crabcakes
@Buckwheat really enjoyed the beat down…except for running…running not enjoyable at all…ugh
