No Lions, No Tigers, But Oh There Were Bears!

All Comanche Backblasts

June 15th, 2017 By Buckwheat

Posted for Ace Ventura by Buckwheat (NO EDITS). Good stuff!

17 men (including soon to be men) including a long awaited FNG via MrMcFeeley arrived for an animalistic VQ by the Pet Detective. The mosey started off with an extended tour of the parking lots searching for the right animals to bring to the beat down. Commentary called it a cruise. I think someone just didn’t have their coffee yet. Warm ups saw Monkey Humpers (ode to @the_farm for introducing those a few weeks back), Dancing Bears (some PAX had the balance of a drunken sailor crawling back to his ship), and a Duck Walk (I think I heard knees pop). Enroute to part 1 of the main event we saw bears and inch worms. A distinct cry from a musical instrument squeaked sharply at the end. Rhymed with ‘this is stupid’. Must mean he likes it 😉

Some arm circles OYO to get the shoulders ready followed by a mosey for some cinder bricks. Back to the entrance to find a brick pole, post or wall for some Wonderbras! Only way to push them up and out is with a brick in each hand. Between two sets the un-bear-able happened again. Lay your bricks down, assume the bear crawl position with bricks at the head, bear crawl until bricks are at the feet, bring the bricks to the head, reapeato for two posts. Since the Q slacked by not having a watch, time checks were needed. We would soon find out how that would affect Mary.

After a mosey to exchange our cinder bricks for cinder blocks (thank you @Buckwheat for giving the AO some solid instruments of pain!), PAX lines up at the bottom of the hill. In case you need to put down a rabid pet, you must learn to use your guns. Colt 45 gave the PAX some bicep goodness mixed with a Bernie Sanders up the hill and Burpee Jacks as the cherry on top. Now at this point, if I had a watch, I would’ve seen how much time it took for Main Event part 1 and 2 and gauged a little repeato where needed. Alas I did not, so we returned the blocks for what became a wee bit early Mary.

Mary did not disappoint giving us Low Dolly’s, Dying Cockroaches, LBCs, Crunchy Frogs, and Pretzel Crunches. Q’s Failure to reference the Weinke resulted in the loss of introducing Crab Cakes (next time). But because someone (Q) gave the PAX a premature Mary with 5 minutes left, @Hammer cleaned up the mess with a call out for sprints. And so we did.

  1. Nice beat down Ace! You have set the bar high!

  2. Somebody’s been investigating F3Nation.com! Well done pet detective! Very creative and certainly raising the bar. Could have been worse had you had a ⌚️. Lol.

Way to go PAX! You are continually stepping out of your comfort zones! Feels good doesn’t it, except for the sore muscles but your better for it.

  3. #STRONG! Great job, looking forward to more animal-tastic safaris.
