Cards and Concrete at Comanche!
All Comanche BackblastsMay 30th, 2017
I haven’t visited Comanche since their epic launch 2 months ago, so it was good to be back to this awesome AO. Buckwheat & Co. have done an amazing job EHing neighbors and forming a solid group of brothers who are stretching themselves to be #HIMs in every sphere of influence.
Since the Master Q just invested in some brand spankin’ new CMUs yesterday, I figured this would be a great opportunity to throw down some cards and lift some concrete! So that’s just what 15 of us did!
After a Disclaimer, short Mosey, and a little Warmorama, each man grabbed his own Cinder Block and became intimately acquainted with it for the duration. I hear this AO (especially Hammer) likes “intimate” things anyway. Each member of the pax took turns picking a card, and we all joined in for 2-14 reps – in cadence. Whoever drew the card called out their F3 name and then led the cadence count, so we ended up having a mini Q-School at the same time (“Next exercise is…” / “Starting position, move…” / “In cadence.” / “Exercise!”). Every 4th card, we sprinted to the end of the lot and back.
- Clubs: Curls
- Spades: Squats
- Hearts: Triceps Extensions
- Diamonds: Overhead Press
- Jokers: Sprint parking lot loop
Since every rep was actually TWO because of the cadence counting, in the end we did 66 Curls, 142 Squats, 104 Triceps Extensions, 96 Overhead Presses, 6 parking lot sprints, and 1 lap around the lot, and we still had a little time for some Mary! Well done men!!!

Thanks Comanche! Great to see you all and meet some for the first time!
Thanks for the beat down. Was that deck stacked?!? There seemed to be a lot of face cards on top!
Thanks for leading us this morning, Man Down. Good stuff as always. Your card game was the perfect fit for our new cinderblocks. Loved the mini Q as well. We needed that at Comanche!
Pax, this is how you write a backblast too!
It did seem a little lopsided Robin’s Nest….
It was great to see Pipe Dream back at it today. Good work making it back out after a brief hiatus!
