That went better in my head

All All MECA Backblasts

May 18th, 2017 By Murdock

On a breezy May morning I was set to Q your beat down.  Google had traveled back in time to Q yesterday’s beat down.  I am not surprised that he’s fast enough to do that.

18 PAX gathered in what really can’t be called the gloom anymore this time of year and we were off to warmorama.

SSH
Cotton Pickers
Imperial Storm Troopers

Mosey to the road past the rock at the front entrance.  Partner up.

Partner #1 does 10 merkins while Partner #2 does lunges up the slight incline of the road.  Partner #1 relieves Partner #2 and they alternate all the way to the Stop sign at the end of the road.  Plank up for the six (who was NOT left behind).

50 LBCs OYO,

Mosey toward the hill by the baseball courts.  High knees thrown in.

Find your partner again (why, because I said so).  10 to 1 ladder with jump squats at the top and merkins at the bottom – by the 1s,  Plank up for the six (who was never out of sight).

Reverse mosey back toward the stop sign.  Reverse high knees thrown in (some of the PAX acted like they didn’t hear that and slacked their way back).

50 Reverse crunches OYO.

Find you partner. Partner #1 does WWII sit ups while Partner #2 does inch worm merkins back down the road toward the school.  I had assumed I said 10 WWII sit ups but, alas, I had not and many PAX were clueless as to how to alternate with their partner.  It eventually seemed to work itself out.

As the deadline approached – no PAX had made it back to the starting point.  So recover was called.  And, again, we waited for the six to join us.

Jail break to Mary.  I was personally amazed at some of the PAX who did NOT pass me.  Slackers.

More abs and thighs for Mary.  Flutters, Homer to Marge, Box cutters.

Then stretches – this is important guys.  It avoids injury.  Incorporate at least one good stretch (hammies preferred) in your Mary – especially for our AARP PAX.

It was an honor to lead you this morning.  Sign-up to Q.  Leadership feels good.  I officially made it back down to sub-200 lbs TODAY – after having started a couple of years ago at 233 then dropping to 200 then falling off the winter-time wagon and getting half of that back.

Thank you to all of you for helping me help myself to be a better man.

  1. Nice lead! I love a little chaos from time to time as we all need more levity these days.

@Shazam makes it 19. I can’t let you omit my black shirt/red shorts compadre. #twinning

    1. Aye! Thanks for looking out for me @Alcatraz! That was a “fun” time this morning.
