FORTY-TWO Part 3 – The House of Pain Cruise
All All MECA BackblastsApril 26th, 2017
We have arrived at hump day of my 5 day Q extravaganza and I am still kicking…even after yesterday’s swim. 3 PAX showed out for the Moss Creek famous, House of Pain Cruise. The House is of course, my house, and the Pain is the weight set in my garage. Weak disclaimer and we were off.
Jog 1 mile to my house where the garage was well lit and ready. I had set up 3 exercises and hey, we had 3 people, perfect. We could all work together instead of splitting up the group. We performed the following circuit:
- 5 Pull ups
- 10 DB Curls (each arm) 25 lb.
- 5-10 Trap Bar DLs 135 lbs.
- Run around the block (a little more than a 1/4 mile I believe)
- Repeated 5 times
Jog back the 1 mile to the school. Probably logged 3.25 miles or so.
COT: Happy Hour tomorrow at JBs, Convergence Saturday at Mint Hill
Moleskin: Thought I would be able to catch my breath a bit in the garage, not happening, good pace. Good of Sugar and Marie to post after rolling around in the mud yesterday, thanks fellas! Always weird getting in my car, driving to the school, then running back to my house, running back to my car at the school, and then driving home. I’m over half way through the 5 day Q and still feeling good, time to finish strong the last two days. Tomorrow could be a little rough, we will be putting in some upper body work. Intentionally put this beatdown on Thursday, might be too sore going through the week if done on Tuesday. As always, I appreciate the motivation from the PAX.

Aye!
Nice Job Heatstroke. That was as bad as the Fishbone non-stop heavy breathing!
Another change of pace from Heatstroke, good job with the Day 3 Q. Glad the hammy is holding together.
The garage work went way too fast and the runs came up way too quickly. Thanks to Sugar for pushing the pace there at the end, as noted the running portions had to be at sub 8 minute pace. That last hill up to OES was BAD.
Where was everyone else? Let the excuses be documented below.
Until next time.
