FORTY-TWO Part Deaux – Crawling our way to Bootcamp 101

All All MECA Backblasts

April 25th, 2017 By Heatstroke

9 PAX arrived on a pristine and dry Tuesday morning for some YHC birthday week fun, or the exact opposite of all that.  There was some mumblechatter on Monday evening about a desire to workout in the elements regardless of weather, I was happy to oblige.  No pouring rain this morning (sigh) but a constant mist and a completely water logged AO awaited us.  Disclaimer given, with extra addendum that we would get soaked today…and we were off.

Mosey to Big rock at HRMS for warmarama:

Mosey to field behind HRMS where we did the tunnel of love going the width of the field.  First Date showed up at this point and was super excited about crawling in the slop.  Our tunnel kind of meandered all over the place, but we made it to the other side.  Thank you Marie for splashing in every puddle.  Sufficiently seasoned, we got down to a mildly sadistic version of No Mas that was enjoyed by all, here were the parameters: Partner up, 1st PAX goes the width of the field in the following exercises and runs back. 2nd PAX does below exercises when 1st PAX reaches other end. Start with first, then second, then first, then 3rd, 2nd, 1st, etc.

YHC called it after Burpee Broad Jump circuit – no de-escalating ladder

Indian run to Greenway.  Running out of time, but a mission was afoot and the extra time would be worth it.  On Saturday morning, I was out walking with Whatley’s ruck on the Greenway and noticed something by the 2nd bridge…our Rocks!!!  How fortuitous that I had the Q all week, a rescue mission was born.  We secured as many rocks as we could and brought them back to the Logs, to keep them company and so that they are closer to the PAX.  The rocks were grateful.

Mosey back to lot at 620. No Mary.

COT:  Convergence at Mint Hill on Saturday, Happy Hour on Thursday at JBS, POX needs a substitute Q for Tuesday at Comanche – he will be out of town

Moleskin:

You can’t tell me you don’t feel at least a bit more bad @ss than you did yesterday after this.  My elbows and knees are so raw right now, those sandy parts of the field are the worst.  Loved being in the puddles.  I honestly wanted it to be pouring, but oh well.  Great job by the PAX this morning on the 2nd leg of the 5 day Q.  Sorry for running late on this one.  You all keep me motivated, many thanks for that.

  1. Did not get as wet as I thought…sad face.

  2. Ty Webb was not amused this am. MC is like a 5 year old!

    Lol

    Nice work

    Whatley

  3. I got much wetter than I expected…nice one, Heatstroke.

Whatley- more like a 10 year old I would say.

Sugar was in hog heaven as we southern boys like to say.

Golden Boy gave it a good run back to the AO but old man determination won out.

What’s up with Ty Webb? Didn’t want to get water on his dress? I’m the one with the chick name…ha

    Until next time.

  4. Not amused at all. It wasn’t only that I didn’t want to get water on my dress, I wanted to show off my new shoes, too. But now they’re muddy and no one even noticed them. Enough about me. Let’s focus on the real elephant in the room….the absence of Sparknut.

  5. We will try to be more respectful of your attire next time Ty Webb. By the way, your high heels looked amazing! Sparknut (in San Diego) and Jimmy Buffett (crazy work during tax season) put in for leave until next week, which was unfortunately approved. We all know their real reason for putting in for leave…FORTY-TWO Week!!!
