All All MECA Backblasts

January 3rd, 2017 By Dingo

On a wet, rainy morning 3 men set out at 5:00 for a 3 mile pre-run. They were joined by 1 more man for the last 2 miles. None of these 4 men were King Julian.

Pre-Run complete. We were joined by 5 more men, 1 was late. The late man was not The Farm

What to do in the rain……Its just no fun thinking about getting wet. So I eliminated those fears immediately.

10 x SSH
18 x LBC
10 x Hand Release merkins

@Pongo caught onto my plan and refusenicked the hand release merkins. Threats were made. Retaliations were brought.

Line up for;

100 yards of Burpee Broad jumps
100 yards of lunge walk
Plank
Rinse and Repeat

Then we moseyed, we did some exercises, we moseyed again, etc, etc

Some sprints were included.

Overall we covered 2.4 miles

No time or desire for mary.

The Drenched Moleskin;

1. Always good to be at D’Lake. Though the closeness of their circles had me a little uncomfortable.
2. Jordache freaked me out even more when he squeezed in between The Farm and I. Its a big world Jordache, plenty of room out there…..
3. Great work on the pre-run. The pace was perfect.
4. Good work by all! It was wet and miserable. You are stronger for posting. Claps to everyone of you for posting this morning.
5. Don’t skip workouts because of the rain. It adds a whole different element to the workout. It also feels great to know that you did something MOST people would not do.

  1. Enjoyed it men!

  2. Good Q @Dingo. Way to have some of us who are not @King Julian do sprints after running three miles and rolling around in the water!

    Good seeing @Jordache out there also.

    I’m starting to wonder who the faster sprinter is between @2 Step and @King Julian…if only there were a way we could test it somehow…

  3. Always fun to be back at Davis Lake. @2 step is fast. I hear @king Julian is as well, but I don’t believe it.

    Thanks for not making us roll around in the water too much @dingo.
