Just a Mosey with Pain Stations and Some Punt, Pass & Kick
All All MECA BackblastsDecember 24th, 2016
Eight men descended upon the Davis Lake AO intent on celebrating Christmas a little early and that we did! All are better for it.
Five of the eight showed for a two-mile pre-run on Davis Lake Pkwy. @King Louie did his typical @The Farm impression by showing up a minute late. We started a Farm mosey as he was pulling into the lot while we were leaving it. He quickly caught up to us and said something about not wanting to pull an @Funky Bunch during a run, so he decided to sit on the throne before coming out. Took a little longer than normal, apparently?? @King Louie made up for being late as he blew by YHC and @Flood Plain who were doing the #Baconshuffle and mumbling back and forth for a little 2nd F. He caught up w/ @Hot Wheels and @Two Step. Meanwhile, on the mile back, we lost @Two Step who had to make a quick stop at his house to drop a deuce. Good thing we were running right by it! @Two Step still made it back in time for the start of our beatdown.
We were greeted by @Jordache, @School Bus, and @King Julian at the DL clubhouse. Thorough disclaimer given. @Hot Wheels commented on how nice it was. That’s the only time I was nice to the Pax this morning…
Mosey to back lot for warm-o-rama:
SSH x15IC
IST x15IC
Low Slow Squat x10IC
Merkin’s x10IC
Cotton Pickers x10IC
Windmill x10IC
Mosey to playground. @School Bus had a flash back of some sort here and started running to the tennis courts. Sorry to disappoint bro, we had to stop for a pain station at the playground.
10 Step Ups each leg, 10 Swing Crunches, 10 Decline Merkins. Rinse and repeat for three total rounds. Plank till six finishes.
Mosey down through DL Pkwy drainage pipe to bottom of paved hill for a 10-2, 2-10 ladder (counting up/down by 2’s) Bobby Hurley’s at the bottom, sprint up hill and do LBC’s at top. Every other time up, do quadraphelia up the hill. Plank jacks and other exercises? were lead by @King Julian who crushed this hill. @King Louie, @School Bus, and @Hot Wheels were right there with great work on this hill ladder, men! My legs were fried after the first quadraphelia. Exit @Two Step here as he had to leave early. Hopefully it wasn’t because he had to take another dump.?.?
From here, YHC decided to do an Indian run w/ the last person in line throwing a football to the person who just sprinted to the front. If the pass is incomplete, or the ball is fumbled during the lateral process back to the end of the line there was a five burpee penalty for all Pax. Surprisingly, we completely all passes during the Indian run, but we learned that @King Louie was not good at lateraling the ball. UGH… 10 burpee penalty. Halt this game once we got to the school/daycare on DL Pkwy.
Line up on one side of the street for 20 curb hops, sprint to the other side for 20 calf raises. Rinse and repeat for three total rounds. @King Louie crushed this to make up for his inability to lateral a football! Now it was time for a little punt, pass, & kick. King Louie boomed the first punt and YHC got it, calling 10 merkins for all. A couple more rounds resulted in WW2 sit ups, LBC’s, and ??? Called by whomever came up with the ball.
Mosey to shopping center and go behind UPS store. @Hot Wheels got a little concerned here as he asked if I lived in DL knowing all these little out of the way spots. Nope, someone took me here before…. This creeped out @Hot Wheels which prompted me to elaborate further (someone took me here during a beatdown….)
Grab some curb for 10 12:00 merkins. Sprint (err walk for most of us) to the wall across the street for 10 muscle ups. Sprint back for 10 3:00 merkins. Sprint back for 10 muscle ups (or five via Q audible). This was a high wall and the merkins were wearing on most of us. Sprint back for 10 6:00 merkins and then 10/5 muscle ups. Sprint back for 10 9:00 merkins.
Mosey back up DL Parkway to clubhouse. Since we were at 1.8 miles here, YHC decided to start with some punt, pass, & kick MARY to get us to 2 miles for the beatdown. Same format mentioned above. Exercises here included WW2 sit ups, low flutter, low dolly, and Mason Twists. Once YHC’s watch hit 2 miles, we settled in the back lot for a little more MARY (Rosalita x10IC, The W x10IC, Pretzel Crunch x10IC).
COT/BOM: @Hot Wheels took us out with an excellent prayer on this Christmas Eve. Thank, @Hot Wheels. T-Claps to God who gave us his son and our savior, Jesus Christ!
Tired Moleskin:
1. Thanks for the opportunity to lead this morning, men. It was good to be back at Davis Lake as I haven’t visited in a while.
2. Awesome to see 5 at a DL pre-run! Thx for initiating the conversation on GroupMe @Hot Wheels, @King Louie, and @Two Step. If only @King Julian could figure out how to read and respond to a GroupMe message.?.?
3. Nice to meet you @Flood Plain. Keep coming out. F3 bootcamps are great training to keep you in football shape during the offseason.
4. Great work by everyone today.
5. Hope everyone has a great Christmas!
6. MURPH MONDAY 0700, BE THERE!!

I wish I say my poor performance with the ball was me wanting to make everyone pay for not being at the RED beatdown yesterday.
There’s something weird about that Davis Lake Indian Run though. Giant line and slow mosey from the back!
Good beatdown Buckwheat. Felt it when I got out of the car after the drive to Asheboro!
Aye, thanks @King Louie. Well done today, brother. Especially after the beatdown yesterday!
