Bacon Surprise Featuring Dry Zizou
All All MECA BackblastsNovember 3rd, 2016
12 hard chargers, including one FNG, some #hates, some bacon, and several #respects reported for YHC’s on-the-fly bacon surprise.
Thorough disclaimer provided since we had a new guy, but primarily because I forgot to do a disclaimer Monday when we had another FNG. Dingo LOVED it!
Let’s roll.
Mosey to back lot w/ high knees and some random running style that we use to do in football camps. No clue what the name is. Doesn’t really matter since the Pax just laughed at my expense and didn’t even attempt to do it themselves. The typical mumble chatter ensued. Oh well, #Qfail
Warmup:
SSH x15IC
Merican x5IC
Mountain Climber x10IC
Windmill x10IC
Cotton Picker x10IC
Merican X5IC
Mosey to daycare
2-10 ladder – Air Squats at one end of lot – sprint to middle island and do 10-2 ladder of Bobby Hurleys. Repeato to completion.
LBCs and plank until six finishes.
Let’s mosey. Cross Prosperity Church and back to Winchester entrance. Grab some curb on middle island for 20 calf raises and 10 curb hops. Mosey to next intersection and grab some curb on this island for 20 more calf raises and 10 curb hops. 10 mericans just because.
Mosey to bottom of roller coaster hill. 2-10 ladder of Mericans, CDD’s, and Lunges (Thx Pongo) at bottom of hill. Sprint to top for a 10-2 ladder of LBC’s, WW2 sit ups, & The W at top. Sprint down and continue ladder until completion. Jumangi was CRUSHING the hill and the rest of us were just trying to keep up. Jelly was there with him at times w/ Dingo and Guinness right behind them. There was calls of Jelly Lubing exercises at the top which both Jelly and Jumangi denied…. Pax, you be the judge of that in the comments below. I was too busy sucking wind on this hill to pay attention.
Mosey back to first intersection for 5 burpees. Back to Winchester entrance for 5 burpees. FNG Brian started dry heaving here. Fortunately for him, he didn’t actually spill merlot. #BetterthanJelly’sfirstbeatdown.
Cross Prosperity church and sprint back to main lot at Tradition.
No time for MARY
COT
FNG Naming. So, Brian is Jumangi’s brother and he is an avid soccer player (midfielder). Apparently, there is a retired French soccer midfielder named zinedine zidane who goes by the nickname Zizou. Who knew? Probably only Jumangi and his brother…. Since Brian was dry heaving today during the beatdown, Jumangi decided to name him Dry Zizou. Well done, Jumangi. I’ll take credit for part of the name ;-).

Sound off below.
Nice lead, didn’t realize it added up to that much running!
Already threw together a simple but hopefully brutal beat down for tomorrow…. There should be no falling face first into the parking lot this time!
Good Beatdown BW!
Plenty of opportunities for me to take down Jumanji in a sprint! He just needs to slow down a bit 🙁
Welcome DryZizou!!
Trying to take down Jumanji? He was so excited to start sprinting at the bottom, I’m half surprised he didn’t take himself down by running into me!
Lol! He turned like a wild gazelle when I tried to sneak past him at the start of the last sprint!!
Looks like a good one! “Sorry” I missed it.
LOL!!! Good job by all.
Great workout Buckwheat! Just needed to be a bit harder to get my brother all the way to a full throw up.
Had to climb to the top of 12 tank for work this morning. Combined with your workout my legs are killing me now.
Nice job all around Buckwheat… 2.4 miles – excellent job of breaking it up so it didn’t seem like that much.
Thanks, guys! Yeah, stopping here and there for a pain station definitely helps to keep your mind off all the running.
LOL Dingo on taking Jumanji down on a Sprint. He looked like he was shot out of a cannon on those roller coaster sprints!
Jumanji- Sorry I wasn’t able to achieve full merlot spillage from your brother!
My legs are still sore from Monday’s KB Murph :-(.
Good luck w/ your KB beatdown tomorrow King Louie!
You know you are getting good when you can do a tough beatdown like that on the fly. Good one, Buckwheat! Seeker is the one you missed.
