B-Team to the Rescue

All All MECA Backblasts

July 25th, 2016 By Disaster

Per tradition, our monthly gathering honoring the memory of Michael Patrick Murphy took place at the Highland Creek Sports Club this morning at 530AM. But what’s this? No Skipper? No Google? No Nanny or Bling or Shazam? No problem. Seven men who don’t particularly like running were more than up to the challenge. (Technically there were six of us plus Slappy, who has recently been swayed over to the Dark Side by the Cruise, but he was still a welcome addition to the group). While the BRR crew was off training on the side of a mountain somewhere, the B-Team brought their A game to today’s beatdown. Here’s how it happened:

Run One Mile

Repeato X 10

Run One Mile

COT and then finished it off with the Lord’s Prayer.

  1. T-Claps to @Ambassador, who completed his first Murph today. Kudos to @Black Sheep for nagging him enough to get him out here, and to @Conchito for partnering up with him on the run. They got a head start on the rest of us and finished strong. Well done.
  2. Welcome back to @Buffalo Bill who completed his first Murph last month and was still willing to return for seconds. Also, nice headband.
  3. It looks like all those Millstream Ridge reps have been paying off for @Slappy. He left the rest of us in the dust today. Nice work.
  4. @Gordo I enjoyed catching up with you on today’s run. I never would have pegged you as an offensive guard in high school football. Or course I was too small to even be the kicker so what do I know.
  5. Please keep @Phantom in your prayers this week. He has some pretty serious surgery scheduled for this Friday. We’re thinking of you out here brother. Good luck.

Sounds like the murph was very intense. Have a great week!

  2. @disaster – great recap and thanks for leading us today.

@slappy – glad you kept count during the sets

I am glad I made it out, as always, to see my F3 brothers.
