Post July 4th Weekend Hangover Beatdown

All All MECA Backblasts

July 5th, 2016 By The Nanny

18 men of MECA dragged themselves out of bed after a three day weekend of indulgence. Despite eating too much, maybe having a few cold beverages and losing sleep because of fireworks going off until late the night before we had a good turnout and effort from this distinguished group of men.  Slow mosey around the parking lot to the front of the middle school for warm up.

Warmup

  1. SSH x 17
  2. IST x 17
  3. Mountain climbers x 17
  4. Windmill x 17
  5. Mericans x 17

The “size don’t matter” partnered up Thang:

  1. Round 1 – Partner 1 Dips to exhaustion, step ups for the remainder of the time while partner 2 runs the short loop of the parking lot. Repeat 3x.
  2. Round 2 – Mosey to the wall. Partner 1 People’s Chair with air presses while partner 2 runs up hill and does 10 Carolina Dry Docks.  Repeat 3x.
  3. Round 3 – Partner 1 Balls 2 The Wall while partner 2 runs up hill and does 15 Jump Split Squats. Repeat 3x.
  4. Round 4. Mosey to the small parking lot down from the track.  Partner 1  – LBC’s while partner 2 runs up the hill and does 15 squats.  Repeat 3x.
  5. Round 5 – Mosey to bus parking lot. Line up solo.  Bear crawl to first basketball goal, mosey/walk to second, crab walk to third, mosey/walk to end.  Plank until everyone done.
  6. Round 6 – Bonus 5 Burpee’s. Mosey back to Mary with the option of a Pavarotti leap over the bushes.
  7. Mary.  Low flutter x 15, mason twist x 15, hello dolly x 15, pretzel crunch x 12 w/flapjack.

The Naked Moleskin:

  1. Second time Q’ing easier than the first. Almost missed this one since the Fitbit alarm did not go off. Fortunately little voice in the head woke me up at 5:22 AM.
  2. Subdued crowd this morning but larger than expected. Not a lot of chatter going on. Think the aforementioned factors from the weekend had something to do with it. Still a great effort and start to the short week.
  3. Great seeing some unfamiliar faces from other AO’s joining us.

Hugs n Kisses,

Brinkley

  1. Great lead Brinkley. Those sets of 3 rounds of exercises were tough!

Alcatraz – you did our team right, bro. Great effort and awesome to be on the front edge of finishers all morning.
