Shortened version of the Muthatrucka
All All MECA BackblastsApril 12th, 2016
12 men came together at Tradition on this rainy morning for what we had hoped would be the Muthatrucka. However, at 5:10 this morning, it was raining pretty hard. Dingo, Coyote, and I called an audible because we didn’t want to mess up Dingo’s truck. For a while no one showed up, so we decided that coffee sounded pretty good. Then one came, and another, and another, etc. No coffee for us! But still a great day for a beatdown.
Warm-up
– Mosey around the church
– SSH x 15
– IST x 15
– Cotton pickers x 15
We noticed that Coyote was under the awning during the warm-up. Personally, I think that he was smarter than us. But, I didn’t want him to stay too dry.
The Thang
– Mosey to portico and partner up
– Partner 1 runs around church, Partner 2 does merkins AMRAP (switch)
– Partner 1 runs around church, Partner 2 does WWII situps (switch)
– Repeato for 2 total rounds
During our last run around the church Dingo and I made the decision to bring in the truck for a shortened version of the Muthatrucka since it stopped raining (for the most part).
– Mosey over to the truck, plank, then mosey to tires. Break up into three groups for these three stations of the Muthatrucka:
Station 1 – Russians & KB Swings
Station 2 – Tire flips
Station 3 – Push a 10,000 lb truck up a slight incline about 200 years.
Initially we put 4 men on the truck, but with the wet ground, that thing wasn’t moving, so we added a 5th. Did this for about 2 rounds.
Mosey back over to the portico for some quick mary and COT.
Mary
– LBCs x 15
– Squirm x 15
– Pretzel crunch x 10 (flapjack)
Moleskin
– Nice push this morning. Thanks for coming out on this soggy day.
– It was good to see Bazinga back out there. Keep posting brother.
– Today marks the 1 year anniversary of my stepmother shooting herself. I thanked the men who posted for all of their support this past year. This also goes out to all of the F3 men in my life. Your support has been unbelievable. I’m just thankful that I’ve got such an incredible group of brothers.
– Just in case you aren’t familiar with what happened to my family, click here for the post I did last year.
– Remember that if you or someone you know is struggling with depression, get help. Don’t make a fatal mistake. Reach out to your brothers for support. It could save a life. This is a good place to start for more information: http://www.mhacentralcarolinas.org/

Thanks to everyone for posting. Sound off below.
Great job @forgottenjelly! Good use of the portico… Glad I learned that word. Mothatrucka in the rain. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Hearts’ out to you @jelly as you process the tragedy with your mother-in-law and share with others for their benefit.
Love the Mothertrucka, or so I thought. She was a little tough this morning.
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. I think it’s an awesome program that you started, keep up the good work!!!
@Dingo, that’s one heavy muthatruckin truck. Good thing @Grizzly came to my team’s rescue #hessomanly #thereisaidit #shebear
@Bazinga – welcome back and and thanks for partnering up. the best was when I tried to give you props for coming back out on a nasty wet morning, and you were like, ‘I didn’t know it was gonna be raining like this…’
@Jelly- TClaps for leading this morning. A lot of guys would have fartsacked on a anniversary like today, but the fact that you not only posted, but obligated yourself by Q’ing, proves that you really trust and believe in that whole thing about us being here for one another, and this being about more than just getting fit. Thank you for sharing with us and leading in your vulnerability.
Thanks brother. I appreciate it.
Did someone call my name?
I feel like this week has been mini CSAUP week…starting it with Tha Muthaship and then continuing into Muthatrucka today… Will be nice to do a simple cruise tomorrow!
@TrailMix, I still feel like @Bazinga had his foot on the brake… We almost got over the hump but not quite…
@Jelly, you know we are here for you brother. The way everyone rallied around you during this time last year was a reminder of what this thing really is about. Picking up the six is a lesson we all learn during the workouts and apply it outside of the gloom in our daily lives. Glad we were able to pick you up when you needed it the most.
The Muthatrucka 2 weeks in a row is tough. Doing it the day after the MuthaShip is just plain horrendous. Many may have noticed that I was definitely doing some Jelly lubing out there. It is true. My legs felt like they wanted to collapse.
Jelly – Glad you found F3 and glad F3 is doing what it should be doing for you. We are all in this life together. #ISI
Thanks for leading today Jelly! Glad we could be there to support you on this anniversary. We are here for you brother and as all have said above, that is really what F3 is about. #ISI
