Every Highlander’s Favorite Monday! #Murph
All All MECA BackblastsFebruary 29th, 2016
One could argue that the #EndofMonthMurph is every Highlander’s favorite Monday. For 10 men it is their favorite because they can bond with their F3 brothers and push themselves to be better than they were last month, while gaining inspiration and celebrating the life of fallen Navy Seal Lt Michael Murphy. For the other 100+ Highlanders it’s their favorite #fartsack Monday. #justsayin
The Thang:
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 mericans
300 air squats
1 mile run
Today we had time at the end for Mary: LBC, Pretzel Crunch, Low Flutter, W (we weren’t moving off our backs). #spent
Favorite Monday Moleskin:
- #TheMurph! Always a great challenge! Thanks for posting men.
- F3 #Shield at Chopper’s tomorrow (Tues, 3/1) at 8pm. @Alcatraz is Q. No disclaimers needed. #actuallyheisaprofessional
- 2-year Anniversary of F3 #Tradition this week! Workout on Thurs (3/3) at 0530 at Tradition AO. #secessioncelebration
God Bless the men and women serving our country!
Ahoy!

@Skipper Thanks for standing still while the rest of us backed up making you the guy who stepped forward to do today’s BB. Can always count on you.
When I got cat called on the run home this morning I assumed it was my Stoli-like arms and chest that did it. Saw the attractive female drive by, saw the clean Acura MDX with shiny tires and wheels that looked like it had been detailed on Sunday afternoon, then I saw the F3 sticker on the back window, then I realized it was my wife.

Ahoy! That was a tough one today for me. I know @Stoli felt it too because he mentioned that he felt totally out of shape for the #Murph today. I was thinking the exact same, but couldn’t say it because I was out of breath and fighting off the #merlotspill.
Good thing we won’t have to do that again for a long time. Actually 28 days for the next #EndofMonthMurph, but guess when the next #LeapYearEndofMonthMurph is?
@Skipper – I believe the next Monday Leap Year Murph would be February 29, 2044. I will be 73 years old, but put me down as a HC!
Thanks @Alcatraz, I’ve penciled you in for Q duties. Don’t worry there will be one-touch backblasts and flying cars by then. BTW, I’ll be a spry 69er. Ahoy!
Normally I would be there, but Monday is pudding day at the retirement home and nobody wants to miss that!
Nice work guys. Very challenging event as always. @Gordo thanks for keeping me on pace during the exercise portion. And with a nice head start on the final run I actually had visions of finishing first at something F3-related before @Nanny, @Iron Hide, and then @Google blew by me at the end. Thanks for the push though. I still have some work to do on my distance running but I’m getting better.
Great time today guys. You are all an inspiration to me in different ways. Thanks @Conchito for the final mile push.
Great push by the PAX today! @Nanny @Ironhide were shot out of a cannon on both runs today.
#notthistypeofmensgroupmomentoftheday came from @Ironhide as he mentioned on the first run that my extreme panting trying to keep up might actually turn him on?! Really!
Thanks for the BB @Skipper. I don’t think I have seen an escape to the cars by the PAX as quickly as when you asked for someone to step up to write the #BB.
@Distaster……Gotcha!
Great work by everyone this morning, except for me. That was a pathetic effort. Need to turn it up… now!
The reward for fighting off the fartsack was great today. Great job men and thanks for the push to you all. It’s been a while since I’ve done the #murph. It was special today…..until I read @googles comment about @ironhide. Really? I don’t think I can look at him the same ever again. I’m breathing through my nose from now on.
Thanks for the bb skipper. Ahoy!
@stoli….#really? Your a beast dude.
@nanny….you didn’t mention my cat call as I drove by. #nicearms.
