7 and 0h its early!!

All All MECA Backblasts

November 3rd, 2015 By Hula

On a day when the Q was running on fumes, (Thanks Panthers) the PAX came through and supported their weary brother and helped finish the workout strong in unity.

To the best of my memory I will try to recall how it went down:

Moleskin:

Brothers, this workout exemplified why I love being a part of F3. For the life of me, I could not get it going today, and each one of you in some special way helped push me to finish the workout. I didn’t want to be the Q who lost his dinner while Q’ing, but I felt close a few times. I appreciate you men very much, and it is my personal prayer that we grow as friends outside of the workout.

I want to close with my thoughts I shared about my drive to work yesterday:

11/2/2015:

Today was raining like crazy in Charlotte. there were accidents everywhere. Traffic came to a standstill on 485 and the left two lanes were cut off and everyone merged to the far right lane as we passed the last accident on my way. We were forced to drive slow, which gave me time to look at the accident. I saw a mangled truck and car and several police cars. I also saw what looked like a body laying on the ground and covered in tarp. It couldn’t have been a body, that isn’t what I saw. My mind was racing as I considered this man who likely has just slipped away into eternity. I tried to shake it off in my mind, as this couldn’t have been what I thought I saw.

I got to work and a co-worker confirmed what I saw was indeed a dead man. The news reported that the driver of a truck lost control and wrecked into the rail. He got out of his car and was struck by another car who also lost control.

This man, had no idea that this would be his last day on earth. His last time kissing his wife and kids good bye in the morning. His last weekend with family and friends.

In light of this brothers, let us all be good stewards of what God has given us. Let us all live passionately by loving God and others. Its easy for me to be selfish with my time, but the truth is, it’s all God’s time. We are all loving on His time in His plan. Let us be present in each moment He has given us with the people He has given us, for we never know when it could be ours or the ones we are with last moment.

I wanted to share this and let you know I am sending this as a reminder to love each other but also to let you know that I love you!

  1. Hate I missed it but like Hula, stayed up way too late to watch the Panthers hang on and move to 7 – 0. Thinking about hitting Skywalker in the morning to make up for it. Law Dawg has the Q – anyone else?

  2. Aye! I like that idea, thrilling game last night.

  3. Well done @Hula. Tclaps for posting when u didn’t feel like it. That is evidence of the not always enjoyable thing F3 provides us called #accounatability. You showed because your brothers were expecting you to. We’ve all been there. The reward was that you felt better for posting and it reminded you that you had a Purpose which is often something we don’t realize until after the fact. Thanks for taking us to our old stomping grounds, we really need to do that more often!
    Aye!
