- The mumblechatter came early and often, inbetween one Dredd rant he stopped to let me know we had 20 more minutes to make the workout hard. This was two minutes after #GameStop spilled merlot for the second time.
- Some strong workhorses out there during the partner carries. You guys are free to join us in April for the “hiking” trip.
- Awesome to get a great breakfast and 2ndF post workout, thanks to the Stonebridge mens ministry team for hosting!
- Welcome Hodor, a mountain of a man from the wild & wonderful West Virginia. Hope to see you in the gloom brother.
- Welcome Game Stop, a self-proclaimed nerd and gamer, who tried to stop the game with a couple merlot spilings on the field. Watch your step men.
- Welcome Silver Spoon, and t-claps to Indiana (aka Muncie) to bringing the 2.0 out for some 1st F.
- One thing unique about the men of Meca is they all have signature moves for their names. I especially like Google’s typing move.
- Thanks to Dingo extended for extending the invite to Isotope and thanks to Scrappy for letting me tag along. I am blown away constantly by how I meet people like Gazebo out in the gloom after meeting him years ago and it was F3 that had us meet again. Small world. We had 66 men come out and enjoy some great 1st & 2nd F this AM but think about how many men were less than a mile from this AO who need F3. I encourage all of us to not keep this gift to ourselves because I know for a fact somebody is praying for it right now, it just takes us to ask the question. I thank Dredd & OBT for leading the discussion post breakfast and for letting their talents be shared with all the Pax. And last but not least, as always thanks to Black Eyed Pea who was that guy who first asked me to come out. Thank you brother, eternally greatful.
Argh!

Thanks to @JollyRoger and @Scrappy for the Q! Loved having so many guys out there kickin ass and taking names!
In the spirit of what F3 is and what it does, had an awesome thing happened Friday before the BDCD:
I had an interview day at UNC for a Ph.D position and driving up the nerves were, obviously, huge. When I pulled into the parking lot and took a minute to collect my thoughts, the guy in the car next to me got out and started walking to the buildings. He passed my car, saw my F3 sticker, and asked the question that I’m sure everyone has gotten one time before when someone saw a sticker…”Are you an F3-er?”
Turns out this guy, F3 name “Soggy,” is part of the group that works out on campus at UNC. He told me about their schedule for beat downs and we talked briefly about the BRR, etc.. When I told him about my interview, he told me he would be looking out for me in the fall to come to the beat downs! As he walked away I felt more calm and relaxed about the interviews just because I talked to a guy who does F3 for 5 minutes.
We can’t always see the effects of F3 while we are at our home AO’s but when you have a situation like what I had, you see how awesome this organization is!
Tclaps again for the beatdown and to all who came out!
Aye!
Aye!
Here is what I heard – a guy named Coyote could be on campus with 20,000 sheep in the Fall. I love it! Go Pack!
Moses – you heard what you wanted to hear…although I guess that’s not far from what he said. Anyway, GO HEELS!
@Coyote, they have several groups down there between Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Durham so you would definitely be able to keep going. I’ve been to their Thin Blue Line workout on a Saturday…and that’s actually where I got that Ghostbusters thing from that I did last week. Great men and a solid group!
Thanks for coming to check out our AO everyone. It was a great morning and reminded me why F3 is so important to me.
Awesome beatdown and delicious chowdown. Thank you Jolly Roger/Scrappy for the lead and thank you Dutch, Maximus and Man Down for the food- good work!! Glad I got to meet Dredd/OBT, you are serious motivators!!! And it was great seeing you again too Jolly Roger-I’ll have to get up to Huntersville soon for a beatdown….as long as you promise not to be wearing a cat leotard!!!
Tough workout and amazing chow! Thanks Dutch, Man Down and Maximus. Besides the filling, tasty breakfast, my favorite part was the sound of 66 men counting to 20 together. Great to meet Dred and OBT. Thanks for starting this thang. Glad I get to be part of this adventure.
@Scrappy and @Jolly Roger – Thanks for coming down to lead this thing for us! I think we all got to know JR more than we would have liked to…..That Cat-tard left nothing to the imagination……
Big Thanks to the Chefs! @Dutch headed it up again and knocked it out of the park! Thanks @Maximus, @Frostbite, and @ManDown for all you did!
Always, good to hear the @Dredd mumble chatter and even better to see that OBT is still sane after spending so much time with him! Thanks for coming and we will see you next year!
Welcome to the 3 FNG’s! Quite a workout to start off in!
