Most of us are familiar with the Paul’s urging of Christians to use their talents to their full potential from Romans 12:6-8:  Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[a] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.”

One recent example of people heeding these words to use their talents was during the Oct 3 convergence in Columbia to help with the initial phases of the epic flood cleanup. The need was urgent. Many people answered the call, and much of the needed initial cleanup was completed that day due in part to the  willingness of many volunteers to readily share their unique talents.

Moleskin:

We had lots of good discussion about needing to have the desire and confidence to share our talents and being decisive about answering the call
