9/11 Tribute

17 of Skywalkers finest overcame the fartsack and posted for a beatdown in remembrance of all the service men and women who lost their lives 14 years ago trying to save others.  It went something like this:

  • #Disclaimer
  • Mosey around parking lot, stop for a few warm up exercises
    • SSH x15
    • Windmill x15
    • ISW x??  (Total Q fail with the cadence here fellas…. oops.  Time to act like that didn’t happen and move along)

The Thang

  • Part One: The Pentagon
    • Series of 5 exercises (SSH, Merkin, Crunchy Frog, Monkey Humper, & Jump Squat) performed 11 times at each point of the imaginary pentagon in the parking lot.
    • After all 5 points were complete we had performed 55 of each exercise in honor of the 55 military men and women who lost their lives on 9/11 in Washington DC.
    • Bear crawl from point 2 to 3 was definitely the #CrowdPleaser of the day
  • Part Two: Twin Towers
    • Partner Up
    • P1 performs exercise at Tower 1 while P2 runs to Tower 2 and back.
    • 100 Merkins, 150 Squats, 150 WW2, & 14 Burpees
    • 1 rep for each firefighter and police officer who gave their life that day in New York trying to save the lives of others
  • Repeato until 6:10

  • Pretzel Crunch
  • Reverse Crunch
  • Side Crunch
  • LBC
  • RECOVER

Moleskin

  • This is and always will be an important day in our country, It was an honor to be able to lead you men today.  As I was preparing for this workout, looking at all the stats from 9/11, it brought back every emotion from that day 14 years ago.  It was by far the most difficult workout for me to plan out.  #NeverForget
