TIREd Again!

YHC was expecting the usual large crowd at Tradition today, but Dingo and his pack (Forgotten Jelly, Coyote, Buckwheat) must have heard there was some real pain involved, so they initiated a group fartsack (that just doesn’t sound right). Anyway, we still had 11 faithful show up for the fun that went like this…

Warm-up (IC):

  • SSH
  • IST
  • CP
  • WM
  • LSS Low Slow Squat

Indian Run around church up to Outback w/ six doing 5 Merkins before sprinting to front.

The Thang:

I was originally going to have us split into groups of 3 and make use of both tires and cinder blocks, but since there were only 11 of us and 14 tires available, we all grabbed our own tire and circled up for a series of exercises. Here’s the list as best as I can remember:

  1. Tire Flips
  2. Tire Jump-ins (side to side)
  3. Tire Jump Burpees
  4. Tire Shoulder Shrugs
  5. Tire Bent-over Rows
  6. Tire Rotational Incline Merkins
  7. Tire Flips
  8. Tire Hops back-and-forth
  9. Tire Rotational Derkins
  10. Tire Toe Touches
  11. Dips
  • Put tires away and complete 10 pull-ups.
  • Down to parking lot, sprint across to benches/tables for jump-ups.
  • Up to parking lot, sprint across to other side for calf raises

Mary:

  • Crunchy Frog
  • Dying Cockroach
  • Low Flutter –> Low Dolly –> Homer-to-Marge –> Box Cutter
  • Stretches

Moleskin:

  • Great to see everyone this morning. It was one of those mornings I probably would’ve fartsacked myself if I hadn’t had the Q. As usual though, I was glad afterward that I had come out. You guys are all and inspiration to me!
  • Don’t forget about the Flash Mob 5k TODAY. It’s at the home of The Precinct (For GPS you can use 4419 Saxonbury Way). Totally Free and Family Friendly. Free giveaways and free food too! Register at 6pm. Run at 6:30pm.
  • “Measure of a Man” book study has a new time. Tomorrow, 6-7am at Cafeccino. Come out even if you don’t have the book yet!

Always a pleasure men! Remember to slow down and savor God’s beauty around you today.
Also, someone left their water bottle out there today (Wampa?). Gentle Grizzly has it.

  2. Gazebo

Good lead ManDown, I think we were all feeling a lil TIREd prior to the beatdown. Thanks for waking us up!!!

  3. Forgotten Jelly

Sounds like I missed a good one. I’m switching with the M until her half marathon on October 3rd. She gets Thursday, I get Friday. Just for a month. Will try to work something out for me to make it to old glory next Thursday.

Thanks @mandown for an excellent beatdown. Lots to do with the tires and it definitely woke me up. Those tires are big!

  5. Dingo

I’m just glad we didn’t BOTH fartsack Man Down!

Last night Man Down asked me to take his Q if he wasn’t Feeling better in the morning. Well when I woke up at 6:40……I realized I may have let him and you all down in a big way! Thankfully Man Down did not go down and took care of you all!

After reading this back blast, I am kinda glad I fartsacked!

Great job posting this morning men! Seems the call of the fartsack was strong across MeCa today!

  6. Buckwheat

Yeah, I hit the snooze button too many times this AM as I was up several times last night w/ a sick 2.0. Hope to see everyone in the gloom tomorrow!
