The Main Event; Who is Tradition’s Strongest Man?

YHC had the honor of leading 9 PAX in a beatdown this morning.  The weather forecast earlier in the week was rain but instead we were met with a crisp, beautiful Spring morning.

YHC led the workout below something like as follows.  As was noted during the workout we did lots of pull-ups to respect that this was Tradition pull-up month and a certain Q did not do any pull-ups the day before.  We needed to make up for that and we did with 50 partner assisted pull-ups/person.  It was noted that the way to be able to do more pullups (get stronger) is to do more pull-ups. YHC alluded to a main event coming up at the end of the workout (read below) and @dingo started to prepare for this, as at one point he threw down his cinder block and before our very eyes it broke into many pieces.  Never seen before!  @Dingo and several PAX cleared away the broken pieces so the beatdown could continue.

then came the MAIN EVENT;  THE TRADITION STRONGEST MAN CINDER BLOCK TOSS CONTEST

Each Pax member threw the cinder block twice (once from a standing start and then from a 3 step running start) as far as they could with the longest throws noted.  @Dingo had the furthest throw both times with @Triple threat and @smokey finishing second on the throws.  YHC noted this was the qualifying round and now @Dingo, @Triple Threat and @Smokey would throw the cinderblock one last time for a winner take all title of the strongest man at Tradition.  Once again the great @dingo outdistanced the competition and proved he is not only the AO but the strongest man at Tradition!  Congratulations @dingo!

We closed with Mary

Thank you all for participating in the beatdown fully!

Aye! I’m sure there was some rolling of the cider block that gave me the title. But I will tak it until next time 😉

Good Q Maximus, I had a lot of fun!

Easy there @skipper! You don’t want the “Worlds” strongest man getting angry at you 😉

A memorable cue from Maximus the Mighty! Stepping up with confidence to queue in his professional attire he never looked or sounded better!

The main event may become legendary with all the pax vying for the top spot in the future… Glad there was no last place prize #Dutch disappoints… Glad I have stamina though

Finally thanks to maximus for getting us back into dingoes good graces in the pull-up challenge.
We more than made up for it today thanks to forgotten pull up… I mean forgotten jelly

Thanks for the comments men. Yes – F3 is good – helps get you stronger in a year – I agree @pharaoh and also makes me laugh. Not a bad combo – getting stronger while you laugh!
