We had him at "Bounce House"

All All MECA Backblasts

April 24th, 2015 By Stoli

The men from Tradition made a statement this morning, outnumbering the highlands men 5-3.

The Thang:

Mosey to bus lot for COP. SSH x 25

Run down Shelly to the Skyline hill.

3 rounds at 3 different distances. Split into 2 heats; fast1 and fast2. All out sprint apprx 75 yds x 3, 30 yds x 3, 10 yds x 3.

Mosey to the golf course clubhouse.

Rd 1 – bunny hop the stairs, sprint back around to bottom of the steps for 3 burpees, rinse and repeat x 3.
Rd 2 – run the stairs, spring the loop, rinse and repeat x 3

Mosey to upper lot of the golf course parking lot for more sprints: run the first lane of parking spaces forward, next backwards, and so on, in an ‘S’ shape.
1. first section of spaces (two full spaces) forward, backward S shape. Chase and try to pass the guy in front of you.
2. first and second section of spaces
3. first, second, and third section of spaces.

Mosey back to HC ES bus lot

Using each of the 27 bus parking spaces, karoke left, next lane back karoke right, next lane forward sprint, next lane backward sprint, repeato those 4 through all 27 spaces.

Sprint the 200m loop, run down the sidewalk, hop the white crosswalk markings, quick feet through the hopscotch area, run the bus parking lanes alternating forward and backwards each lane until you reach the 200m loop.

Final all-out sprint from the loop to the end of the bus lot by the rock.

The Moleskin:

1. There were no cones present today. We needed a change up, or I needed a change up. We visited a lot of different places in 45 minutes, all of which brought their own bit of fun. Skyline never disappoints.

2. Enjoyed having some Tradition Pax join us today. They made it clear that Skipper belongs to them and they’re taking over Speed. Highlands Pax, time to start putting Friday Speed back on your calendars. C’mon, Chopper was even there!

3. The bounce house reference came from Mario, showing his youth. The rest of the story… you had to show to know.

4. Great effort by everyone. Thanks for being there and for a great push. We made the most of the morning!

  1. Great effort and competition this morning. There were some battles going on in the parking lane sprints. Enjoyed it. Thanks men!

  2. Good stuff Stoli! Always intense, always interesting and this morning was just plain hard! Thanks for leading us!

@Pongo – I know that was hard for you to post this morning. In proud of you brother! We all have to do the hard things in life to get better, speed is definitely on the “hard” list!

@chopper – thanks for chasing me up those stairs, might be the fastest I ran all morning!

  3. @Stoli – Thanks for the solid Q and competition (competition meaning, you were there always ahead of me)! Even though you didn’t bring your cones you seemed to find plenty of nature’s cones. #parkinglinesandstreetlights

    It was great to see the @Pongo-mobile roll up filled with #Traditioners! (@Dingo, @Pongo, @TrailMix, @Mario) #watchouthighlands

Also great to see @Charmin and hear @Chopper this morning. #charminsandbags #chopperchatters

  4. @Stoli, sorry to be one of the men leaving Highlands 2 down. I had every intention of hitting up Speed this morning (yeah, yeah) only to wake up at 5:48 to the sound of 2.2 screaming. At least I was able to make it easier on the M. Still, sorry for the #unexcusedabsence.

  5. @Stoli Sorry I missed! Wanted to be there in my head but the body refused to listen….or is it the other way around?

    1. It does beg the question as to what time you left Carolina Ale House last night

      1. Later than I should have and earlier than I wanted…
