9 gathered on another muggy July morning. Apparently that brings out the kindness as we sweat out all the nasty junk and leaves the good stress free feeling. I think they call that a runners high? It was something, because I was called pretty, smart and a hero. Some may have added extra words to a few of them, but I refuse to accept their modifications.

Going with the classic Bird run today. 8 runners, 1 rider.

Afton Anniversary in August

Prayers for our MQ Buck, Overdrive’s family, YHC family and house, praise for new life in Iron City’s workplace and prayers for Turbine’s friend. A lot of stuff weighing on our hearts, and I’m thankful to have this group to be able to lay out these things and know they’re going to listen and lift up prayers beside me.

On another note…HYDRATE! It’s not getting any cooler, and the mugginess is setting in heavy. Drink water like it’s your job. Mix in some electrolytes like Gatorade, Powerade, LiquidIV, or any of the like, and keep pushing. But, listen to your body, no reason to push for PRs in this weather, just settle in, get good training runs, but don’t hurt yourself. Missing time due to overdoing it is worse than slowing down.
